Lesson 11: Amazing Plants
设计说明 首先, 通过头脑风暴让学生说出一些植物的名称并思考特殊的植物,从而引入本课的话题。展示本课生词短语,可以借助图片、例句及之前学过的词等来学习,既能减轻学生的记忆负担,又能激发他们的学习兴趣。接下来,设置听力活动,通过给句子排序,让学生初步了解文章脉络。然后进入课文精读环节:设置填表格、判断正误、回答问题等活动,让学生充分理解课文,并能从中提取有效信息解决问题。另外,结合Let’s Do It! No. 3的练习巩固词汇运用。在已有语言储备的基础上,让学生自由讨论一种奇异的植物,强化语言的输出。最后,对重点知识进行总结,适当点拨讲解重难点,并进行课堂练习。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:eastern, shy 接触词汇:egret, tightly, fossil, southwest, living 短语和句型: eastern Asia, close up, open up, When it comes to…, along with, in the middle of, a living fossil When something touches this plant’s leaves, they close up tightly. When it comes to laughing, this tree is really funny. When people first hear it laughing, they are usually quite surprised and begin to laugh along with the tree. 2.能力目标 (1)能够读懂和听懂一些植物的奇异之处; (2)能够谈论奇异的植物。 3.情感目标 感受植物的美,激发学生保护环境的意识。 重点难点 1.重点:本节课重点单词、短语、句型。 2.难点:在合适的场合正确使用英语谚语。 教学准备 PPT 课件;与本课节相关的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Brainstorm Let the students write the plants that they have learned. Ask some students to say the words of the plants. Give them some time to think about some special plants they have heard about. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures to teach the new words and phrases eastern, shy, egret, tightly, fossil, southwest, living, eastern Asia, close up, open up, along with, in the middle of and a living fossil. east n. & adj. 东;东部(的)→eastern adj. 东方的;东部的 eastern Asia东亚 (
