教材分析
本节课是Developing ideas板块中的阅读部分。语篇从一个孩子的视角记述了美国家庭遭受“卡特里娜”飓风袭击后的遭遇，表达了用信心和努力战胜灾害和重建家园的乐观人生态度。
语篇分析
该语篇类型为记叙文。两条线索贯穿连接了全文：飓风发生前后顺序的明线和作者一家人的心态变化的暗线。向读者讲述了飓风发生的突然和其强大的威力；灾害对人们生活和心理的影响；一家人历险又重新团聚的悲喜转变；一年后重返家园团结一心重建家园。文章将“星空”作为标题的一部分，并在第四段和第六段两次与之呼应，揭示了“星空”的象征意义----希望，鼓励，自信。从而表达出作者写作的意图----面对自然灾害，不要失去信心，活下来，团结一心就能渡过难关。

已有基础：学生经过五课时的学习，对自然灾害的类型，危害，人类面对灾害的勇气初步认识：已经可以说出常见自然灾害的名称；会通过侧面描述理解作者表达意图；会用简单的短语和句子表达避险的方法。
存在障碍：学生缺少对飓风及其危害的直观感受，因此想象不出故事发生的画面；容易忽视“星空”的象征意义；用简洁的语言概括故事发生的过程和人物感受；深度理解语篇，探究语篇背后的内容。
发展需求：学生能够通过把握故事走向，理解和复述主人公境遇和感受；理解标题意象在表达主旨方面的作用并进行仿写；通过自己的的理解将文章没有写到的情节进行还原和拓展。
教学目标
通过本节课的学习，学生能够
1.理清文章结构和线索，复述主人公遭遇和感受。
2.提炼标题和四六两段中“星空”的象征意义。
3.在文本基础上头脑风暴出作者一家重建家园的努力场景。
4.在访谈情境下，介绍遭遇飓风的经历，心态变化以及重建家园的努力，向观众传递希望和信念的力量。
教学重点
1.引导学生快速理清结构抓住重要信息并提炼表达人物心情的词。
2.鼓励用完整的句子表达“星空”的象征意义。
3.引导学生复述故事情节并适当总结。
教学难点
1.准确使用过去时并按顺序描述受灾过程
2.补充重建家园的情节。
3.能够自然的输出，完成访谈。
评价活动
活动一~三通过阅读完成目标一。
活动四通过总结文章，小组合作探究主题完成目标二三
