How to write a Cover Letter (求职信)
Are you tired of your job and in the market for a new one Many people are these days, and that can be a problem for job hunters. 36 A well-designed cover letter is the answer.
The cover letter should be no more than one page in length. And it should explain why you are the best candidate for a job. The point of this letter is to help you stand out from the others. 37 .
Making a good impression in your cover letter means grabbing the reader’s attention right away. In your first paragraph, quickly introduce yourself and talk about the position you are applying for. 38 This illustrates to employers that you can do your research——a key part of cover letters.
39 Each one should be tailored to the job you are applying for. So, before you start writing, find out some information about the job and the establishment. Then you’ll know what the company values and which skills and experiences your letter should focus on.
Following the opening paragraph, you can discuss the relevant experiences in your resume (简历). 40 Talking about your background and skills shouldn’t take more than a couple of paragraphs. From there, you can move to the closing of your letter.
It’s important to end on a strong note. In these last lines, you should repeat why you are a great fit. Then follow up with a polite request for an interview. This shows you are excited about the job and keen to it.
A.Someone would refer to their education experiences in this part.
B.A fine means is to tell why you fit the job and have a strong ending.
C.One of the best ways to do that is by making a good first impression.
D.You should show why you are interested in the job and the company.
E.No matter how many you write, every cover letter should be different.
F.How can you get the attention of employers with so much competition
G.You can give in-depth details about why your skills fit the company’s needs.

根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
As humans, we’re meant to be social creatures. In fact, being socially connected is key to our mental and emotional health. ____16____This can cause us to cut ourselves off from others and gradually become lonely. Social situations can seem frightening, but the truth is never quite so black-and-white.
People aren’t thinking about you—at least not to the degree that you think. ____17____ Just like you’re thinking about yourself, other people are thinking about themselves. They’re not spending their free time judging you, so stop wasting time worrying about what others think of you.
____18____ When you’re socially anxious, it can seem as though everyone else is fully confident. But that’s not the case. There are still many shy people out there struggling with the same self-doubts as you are. The next person you speak to is just as likely to be worried about what you think of them!
You don’t have to be perfect to be liked. In fact, our imperfections can be pleasant. ____19____ If you can cheerfully accept your awkwardness and imperfections, you’ll likely find that others will, too. They may even like you better for it!
It’s okay to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes; it’s part of being human. ____20____ Your value doesn’t come from being perfect. If you find self-forgiveness difficult, try to look at your own mistakes as you would those of a friend.
Overcoming social fear requires practice. Don’t expect to become socially comfortable without putting in the time. That said, you can start small. Take baby steps towards being more confident and social, and then build on those successes.
A. So give yourself a break when you mess up.
B. Most people are caught up in their own lives.
C. The good news is that you can learn from them.
D. People are much more confident than you think.
E. Even our weaknesses can bring us closer to others.
F. Many other people feel just as awkward and nervous as you do.
G. Yet many of us are shy and feel awkward around unfamiliar people.

Unique among all the positive emotions, hope requires some degree of conflict, difficulty, negativity, or uncertainty to be ignited. People high in hope are optimistic about their future and believe in possibilities. They see challenges as opportunities to grow and learn, rather than as obstacles. ____16____ Here are tips on how to cultivate hope.
Set and achieve goals. Without a clear goal, it’s easy to get distracted and lose focus. Hopeful people usually visualize their goals and create conditions that set them up for success. ____17____Getting three emails out in the next 15minutes or preparing lunch in the next 20 minutes are simple examples.
Stick with positive people. ____18____ This doesn’t mean being intolerant of another person’s difficulties negativity, or struggles, but it does mean that hopeful people tend to spend more time associating with those who share a bright and proactive attitude. They maintain a healthy balance but don’t get overwhelmed by the negativity around them.
____19____ While believing in oneself is important, highly hopeful people are able to forgive themselves as well. This is a unique combination because this type of confidence allows a person to be imperfect. In addition, they are willing to take reasonable risks and accept failures to support their growth and move forward.
Keep a positive outlook. No matter what life throws at them, they endeavor to see the silver lining. They don’t let the circumstance define their emotional response. In addition, high-hope people are also creative problem-solvers. When faced with a challenge, they don’t give up easily. ____20____
A. Believe in the power of risks.
B. Be self-reflective and confident.
C. This is key to the success of many high-hope people.
D. One way this gets done is through achievable micro-goals.
E. Being around positive people contributes to keeping optimistic.
F. Therefore, they’re constantly trying to improve themselves and their skill sets.
G. Instead, they work out solutions that help them overcome the obstacles in their way.
