[命题点三]Tara works as hard as Tina. Tara和Tina一样努力工作。
◎用法总结:
大多数形容词和副词有三个等级:原级、比较级和最高级。
1.同级比较常用“as+形容词/副词的原级+as”的句式表达,其否定形式为“not as /so...as...”。如:
Jimmy is as tall as Kangkang. Jimmy和康康一样高。
The streets here are not as/so clean as those in our hometown.这里的街道不如我们家乡的街道干净。
2.“比较级 + than”的结构常用于表示两者之间的比较。如:
You are luckier than many people. 你比很多人都幸运。
3.形容词的最高级前,常有定冠词the。如:
Karl is the tallest student in his class. Karl是他班上最高的学生。
4.比较级的特殊句型。“the+比较级,the+比较级”意为“越……越……”;“比较级+and+比较级”意为“越来越……”。如:
The more, the better. 越多越好。
