教学目标
1.Talk about health problems and accidents.
2.Give advice.
教学重点
1.Learn and master the words about body parts and illness.
2.Learn to talk about health problems by using “What's the matter?” and “I have a…”,and give advice by using should.
教学难点
1.Learn to talk about health problems by using “What's the matter?” and “I have a…”.
2.Learn to give appropriate advice to the certain health problems.
教学用具
Pictures,a tape recorder and multimedia.
教学步骤
Step 1 Lead in
Show the pictures of the body.Ask students the names of different body parts.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Show 1a on the screen.Then ask students to look at the picture.Write the correct letter [a m] for each part of the body.
2.Look at the sentences in the picture and listen to the tape.Then number the names [1 5] in 1b.
3.Read the conversation in 1c.Let students make a conversation about what the students' problems are.After that,ask some groups of students to show the conversation.
4.Look at the pictures in 2a.Listen to the tape for the first time to understand the main idea.For the second time,listen and number the pictures [1 5] in the correct order.For the third time,listen and check the answers.
5.Look at the words and phrases in 2b.Listen again,and match the problems with the advice.
6.Students make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b in groups.Then check one group.
7.Read the conversation in 2d.Role play the conversation and then ask some students to act out the conversation in the front of the classroom.
8.Show the language points,and then talk about the grammar in this lesson.
9.Make a summary of this lesson.
10.Do some exercises to consolidate the key points.

教学反思
本节课教师通过多媒体辅助教学,可以提高课堂教学质量,调动学生多个感官对知识的感知,实现信息传递的多渠道化,但要注意做到张弛结合。本节课各教学环节之间联系比较紧密,但时间分配上稍有点前松后紧,因此教师应该注意根据学生的课堂反应把握教学节奏。
第2课时 Section A(3a 4c)
教学目标
1.Learn and master how to talk about the health problems and accidents.
2.Learn to give some right advice with the target languages.
教学重点
1.Be able to understand the passage about the accident.
2.Master the language points of this period.
3.Use should/shouldn't to give advice.
教学难点
1.Key words,phrases and sentence structures.
2.Learn how to get information from the passage and improve students' reading and writing skills.
教学用具
A guidance case and multimedia.
教学步骤
Step 1 Lead in
1.Show a picture of a man who has a toothache.Then ask students,“What's the matter with the man?” Students answer,“He has a toothache.He can't eat anything.”
2.Show the picture in 3a.Then ask and answer the following questions:
(1)What happened to the man lying by the road
(2)What was the person next to him doing
(3)Who do you think is going to save the man
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Students read the passage and answer the following questions:
Do you think it comes from a newspaper or a book?How do you know
2.Students read the passage again and check the things that happened in the story.Ask two of them to give their answers.
3.Students discuss the questions in 3c with a partner.Then ask some of them to give their answers.
4.Let students read the sentences in Grammar Focus and sum up the use of the modal verb should.
5.Ask students to fill in the blanks in 4a and practice the conversations.Then check the answers.
6.Ask students to circle the best advice for these health problems in 4b.Then add their own advice.
7.One student mimes a problem.The other students in his/her group guess the problem and give advice.Then finish 4c.
8.Show the language points and then talk about the grammar in this lesson.
9.Make a summary of this lesson.And do some exercises to consolidate the key points.
Step 3 Homework
1.Recite the important sentences in 3a.
2.Remember the words and phrases in this unit.
3.Retell the news to your partner.
4.Write out 5 to 8 sentences using should/shouldn't or oneself.
5.Preview the words and expressions in Section B.

教学反思
本课通过练习和小组对话使学生很容易地掌握了如何谈论健康问题和提出建议。一方面训练了学生的英语表达能力,另一方面为阅读和写作做铺垫。教学过程中要注意把握节奏,以便达到更好的效果。
