Module 8 Story time
一、教学目标
1. 掌握下列单词: hair, gold, basket, go for a walk, forest, once, upon, once upon a time, decide, notice, all alone, dark, pick, pick up, around, little, knock, door, soon, lost, towards, answer, right, push, finish, enter, bowl, hungry, asleep, piece, return, cry, point, point at, jump, shout, either, in pieces, at first和without。
2. 能听懂简单故事中的主要人物和事件。
3. 能用一些规则动词的过去式描述过去的事情或讲一个故事。
4. 能够读懂简单的故事,明白其中的人物关系,并能就故事作答。而且,掌握短文通篇大意,学习使用上下文猜测词义的学习方法。
5. 能用规则动词的过去式叙述简单的事情或故事。
二、教材分析
本模块以童话故事为题材,用故事贯穿模块,要求学生读懂故事,并能用一般过去时讲一个完整的故事。
本模块的主要语法是规则动词的过去式,教学重点是在童话故事中学习规则动词的过去式,以及本模块中出现的重点词汇、短语、固定搭配和句型。
课前准备一些与本模块话题童话故事《金凤花姑娘和三只熊》相关的图片和资料,让学生在Warming up时观看并讨论。围绕本模块话题展开听说读写的全面训练,使学生熟悉规则动词的过去式。
三、教学方法
以说为主要教学方式,以讨论为主要方法,通过同桌讨论和小组以及全班讨论,让每个学生充分练习口语和说的能力,并将听说读写有机地贯穿一体。设立一些语言环境,结合童话故事《金凤花姑娘和三只熊》,最后一起学习本模块的重、难点,为突破重、难点再做一些课堂和课后的练习。

规则动词过去式“-ed”的发音分为三种,即/t/、/d/和/Id/。
1)以清辅音结尾的单词加“-ed”后,“-ed”读作/t/;
2)以浊辅音和元音结尾的单词加“-ed”后,“-ed”读作/d/;
3)以“t”和“d”结尾的单词加“-ed”后,“-ed”读作/id/。

Step 6 Learning to learn
Many old stories begin with the phrase “once upon a time”. When you tell a story like Dong Yong’s Wife, Chang’e Flies to the Moon, or Jingwei Decides to Fill the Sea in English, you can begin with this phrase. When you read this phrase, you will know that it begins an old story.

once upon a time 意为“从前; 很久以前”, 常用于一般过去时。
类似的短语有:long long ago 很久很久以前。
这些短语常用作故事的开头。

从前,在一个小村庄里住着一位老人。

2. She decided to go for a walk in the park with her basket.
1) decide作动词, 意为“决定”, 其后可接动词不定式, 构成decide to do sth.短语, 表示“决定做某事”。

其后可以跟表示花、水果等的名词作宾语。

如果宾语为名词,可放在up之前或之后;如果宾语为代词,只能放在pick与up之间。

常与系动词get或be连用,意为“走失;迷路”。

① lost作形容词还可意为“丢失的”。

little 和a little修饰不可数名词。
little表示否定意义, 意为“很少, 几乎没有”, 而a little表示肯定意义, 意为“有点儿”。
e.g. There is little bread at home. Let’s go and buy some.

knock at / on表示“敲门”

2) answer
answer作动词,意为“应门;回答”。
常构成短语answer the door (应门)和 answer the question (回答问题)。

answer还可意为“接”, 可构成短语answer the telephone (接电话)。
