Unit 1 I was born in a small village.
Learning objectives:
1. To understand conversations containing past simple “be”.
2. To get information about someone’s past life from the listening and reading materials.
3. To talk about one’s past life.
Step 1 Presentation
Study the following new words:
born, strict, primary, primacy school, town, friendly, US, hey, village, nice, good, difficult
Step 2 Lead-in
To give some pictures and talk about the people’s past life to students. Then, let students talk about themselves.
Step 3 Listening
1. Listen and number the questions as you hear them.

“What+do/does+sb.+ look like ” 用来询问某人的外表、长相,常用tall, short, fat, thin(瘦的), good-looking(好看的)等表示外形特点的形容词回答。

friend。friendly的反义词为 unfriendly “不
友好的”。
