教学目标

A guidance case,a tape recorder and multimedia.
教学步骤
Step 1 Lead in
Show the students some pictures about some people who need help.Ask them whether they give their seats to the old,whether they give money to the poor,and whether they give a hand to the one who falls down on the road.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Show 1a on the screen.Then ask students to look at the picture and discuss the ways they could help people in the picture.Then list other ways.
2.Read the content in 1b.And then listen to the tape to number the ways the boy and girl could help others.
3.Ask students to practice the conversation in the picture in 1a.Then make other conversations using the information in 1b.After that,ask some pairs of students to show the conversations.
4.A group of students are planning a City Park Clean Up Day.Look at the pictures in 2a first and then listen and check the things they are going to do to tell people about it.
5.Look at the sentences in 2b.Then listen again and fill in the blanks in 2b.
6.Ask students to make a conversation using the information in 2a and 2b.Then ask one group to show their conversation.
7.Ask students to read the conversation in 2d and try to role play it.
8.Explain the language points with examples.Then talk about the grammar in this lesson.
9.Make a summary of this lesson.
10.Do some exercises to consolidate the key points.
Step 3 Homework
1.Make a conversation about your volunteering.You can use 2d as a reference.
2.Read the conversation in 2d till fluently.Preview the new words of the next period.
3.Finish the exercises in the exercise book.

本节课主要围绕“提供帮助”这一话题展开,利用情景教学模式引导学生在参与、体验、合作中谈论如何向他人提供帮助。教师要注重教学课堂活动的趣味性及课堂节奏的把控,将学生积极参与志愿活动的教育贯穿教学过程的始终,并引导学生树立正确的价值观。
第2课时 Section A(3a 4c)
教学目标:
1.Improve students' comprehensive reading ability.
2.Master the grammar of this unit.
教学重点
1.Learn to understand the passage about volunteers with the target languages and language structures.
2.Learn and master the usages of the infinitives and phrasal verbs.
教学难点
1.Learn to talk about what volunteer work we can do and how to volunteer with the target languages.
2.Learn and master the usages of the infinitives.
教学工具
A guidance case and multimedia.
教学步骤
Step 1 Lead in
Ask students to talk about something they know about volunteers and tell the class their volunteering activities.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Ask students to look through the passage about Mario and Mary.Then answer the question:What do Mario and Mary volunteer to do
2.Ask students to read the article again and answer the following questions:
(1)Why does Mario volunteer to help others
(2)Why does Mary volunteer to help others
(3)What does Mario say about volunteering
(4)What does Mary say about volunteering
3.Ask students to read the passage again and use infinitives to complete the sentences in 3c.
4.Ask students to read the sentences in Grammar Focus and try to sum up the usages of the infinitives and the modal verb could.
5.Ask students to read the phrasal verbs in the box in 4a,and fill in the blanks with the phrasal verbs.Then show them PPT to check the answers.
6.Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in the box in 4b and check the answers with PPT.Then let students read the passage till fluently.
7.Ask students to complete the sentences with their own ideas by using infinitives.
8.Show the language points,and then talk about the grammar in this lesson.
9.Make a summary of this lesson.And do some exercises to consolidate the key points.
