people and tell stories. People liked listening to the music and
enjoyed the beautiful puppets.

Fancy lanterns are my favorite Chinese traditional art. Fancy
lanterns have been popular in China for about 3,000 years.
I like fancy lanterns because of the following reasons. Firstly,
they are so colorful and beautiful. They make our houses or streets look
more beautiful. Secondly, lanterns in different shapes are considered as
symbols of good luck. Finally, fancy lanterns can bring us so much fun
on the Lantern Festival. Riddles are often written on them for us to
guess. Those who get the answers to the riddles are supposed to have
good luck.
Fancy lanterns are important in Chinese culture. I think it is
necessary for us to make them popular around the world. In this way,
more people will know more about China.
