Singapore is famous for being clean and having a low crime rate(犯罪
率). But its cleanliness and safety come with a price. Singapore is
sometimes called “The Fine City”. Here are some of the “fines” or
“punishments” you might be interested in.
1.Littering
Singapore takes pride in itself as a clean and green country, and it
surely doesn’t allow littering in public. People who breaks the rule for the
first time can be fined $300 for the first offence, including Corrective Work
Order(CWO) to pick or sweep up litter in a specific area while wearing a
bright green vest. The purpose of CWO is to make offenders realize the
hardship cleaners have to go through to keep the city clean.
2.Chewing gums(口香糖)
Importation(进口) of chewing gums into Singapore is not allowed.
Sales of chewing gums is also banned here. Gums for medical use are not
banned. Chewing gums is allowed,, but a fine of up to $1,000 may come
to you if you are caught throwing the gums in public.
3.The punishment of caning (鞭刑)
In Singapore, corporal punishment is widely accepted. Caning is not
only used to punish criminals, but also used in schools. Do not be surprised
to find canes sold in stores. They usually cost 50 Singapore cents and are
made of thin rattan(藤条). The only purpose of the canes is to help
parents cane their children who break family rules.

The United Nations lists the rights(权利)of children. Most countries
agree with all of them, but some countries do not. The followings are some
of the most important rights of children.
● Children have the right to be fed, clothed and sheltered by their
family. If their family cannot do so, the government should take

money for other people.

countries, there are so few schools that only rich children get an education.

Live-streaming (直播) has become very popular in China. Viewers can interact (互动) with hosts by messaging them, buying them gifts, or sending them tips.
However, some children are spending too much money on live-stream platforms (平台). Earlier this year, a 17-year-old boy in Jingmen, sent tips that added up to 150, 000 yuan to a host. That sum of money was his parents’ life savings.
To prevent things like this from happening again, the National Radio
and Television Administration introduced a new regulation (规定) on Nov.
23 to better manage live-streaming services.
The regulation bans children from tipping or sending gifts to live-stream hosts and performers. It also requires people to register (注册) on live-streaming sites with their real names.
This new regulation has been welcomed by parents. According to Legal
Daily, about one-fifth of live-stream viewers in 2019 were children.
“Online shows and live-streaming have become so popular. I always
feel worried that my son might become addicted to (沉迷于) them or do
something that is harmful to his growth,” said Wang Haifeng, a mother
of a 15-year-old boy in Beijing. “Stricter management (管理) makes me feel safer.”
In addition, there are some other measures to help manage live-streaming services. For example, live-streaming platforms will be required to put a limit (限度) on how much money people can send to live-streamers. Once the limit is reached, viewers will not be able to send gifts or tips.
Other regulations include stopping live-streaming platforms from encouraging viewers to send gifts or tips.
Any host who is found doing this will be added to blacklist, China
Daily reported.

Our parents teach us a lot. They bring us up.
Once I fought with my
classmate. When my parents heard about it, they talked with me to
know the truth first, and then made me realize my mistake. After
that, they encouraged me to face it bravely. I am thankful to them
because they often teach me how to deal with problems.
But it’s normal to have problems with my parents. I will deal with
it in the following ways. Firstly, try to calm down if I feel my parents

We should learn how to communicate with parents so that we can
