单元话题
描述人的外貌
教材分析
本单元内容围绕询问和描述人的外貌、根据外貌描述确定人物等方面展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征和着装等。在本单元中,学生主要学习的是如何描述人的外貌特征。
Section A(1a~2d)借助在地铁站接朋友的场景,通过听说训练引出本单元所涉及的描述人的外貌特征的单词,同时操练句型“What do/does+sb. look like ”及其答语;学习从不同角度描述一个人的外貌特征;通过分角色练习对话,学会交际时所需要的常见口语,训练学生的口语表达能力。
Section A(Grammar Focus~3d)主要通过问答练习,让学生进一步熟悉句型“What do/does+sb. look like ”及其答语;学会正确运用选择疑问句及其答语。
Section B(1a~1e)主要归纳了一些常见的描述人的外貌的词汇,通过听力训练让学生熟悉这些词汇;通过谈论某人的职业和外貌特征进一步熟悉目标语言“What do/does+sb. look like ”及其答语。
Section B(2a~2c)通过一篇短文的学习,让学生学会正确描述一个人的外貌,了解正确描述人物外貌的重要性,并通过分组问答练习,进一步熟悉目标语言。
Section B(3a~Self Check)主要通过让学生运用所学句式从身材、外貌、发型、穿着等方面写一篇短文,描述自己熟悉的一个人,复习本单元的重要知识点。

教学建议
1.本单元通过询问和描述人物外貌特征展开教学,学习描述人物身高、体重、发型、五官和穿着等句型,学会正确使用系动词be和实义动词have/has。为了激发学生学习英语的兴趣,在教学中教师可以利用简笔画、PPT或图片来教学单词,并设计一些情景对话、互动的小游戏、角色扮演对话表演等活动。
2.本单元涉及的话题和学生日常生活息息相关,因此,建议老师多采用生生合作,利用图片进行描述:This is my friend. He is ... and he has...。在描述过程中,不但巩固了语法点,也激发了学生学习的兴趣,同时有效地加深了学生对知识的理解。
3.充分利用课本资源,让学生多听英语材料并跟读,从而提高他们的口语表达能力。
4.教师可以展示某个名人的照片,让学生进行描述,在描述之前教师可以适当拓展一些词汇,从而提高学生组织语言和运用语言的能力,也能更好地巩固所学的知识。
评价与测评
1.画出描述人的外貌所需要的词汇的思维导图。
2.让学生写一篇短文,从不同角度描述自己所熟悉的一个人。
3.让学生调查某个同学的家人的外貌,并形成调查报告。

这是两组包含选择疑问句的对话。选择疑问句是指说话人提出两种或两种以上情况,问对方选择哪一种,两个选择项之间用or连接。选择疑问句不能用yes或no来回答。朗读时or前面的部分用升调,后面的部分用降调。如:

用来询问某人的身材或长相,即外貌,其结构为“What + do/does +主语+look like ”。如:

2.be like意为“像……一样”,指品德或相貌等像某人(指人的个性特征)。
如果是询问人的性格或人品,多用句型“What be (am/is/are)...like ”。如:
