●1.One of the world's most dangerous sports is mountain climbing, and one of the most popular places for this is the Himalayas.登山是世界上最危险的运动之一,而喜马拉雅山脉是最受欢迎的登山地点之一。
“one of +the +形容词最高级+可数名词的复数”是英语中表示最高级的固定搭配,意为“最……之一”。该结构作主语时,谓语动词用单数形式。如:
One of my best friends gives me a lovely cup as a birthday present.我最好的一个朋友送给我一个可爱的杯子作为生日礼物。

(1)succeed作不及物动词,意为“实现目标;成功”,不能用于被动语态。常用短语succeed in doing sth.意为“成功做某事”。其反义短语为fail to do sth.,意为“未能做某事”。如:
They'll succeed in working out the problem because they never give up.他们会成功解决这个问题的,因为他们从不放弃。
You will have to work hard if you want to succeed.要想有所作为,你必须苦干。
(2)succeed 的名词形式是success,当其意为“成功”时,是不可数名词;意为“成功的人(或事物)”时,是可数名词。如:
Self-confidence is the key to success.自信是成功的关键。
(3)successful为succeed 的形容词形式,意为“成功的”,其副词形式是successfully,意为“成功地”。如:
Many successful people have the same quality—they never give up no matter what difficulties they've had.许多成功人士都有同样的品质——不论他们遇到什么艰难险阻,他们从不放弃。
