Section A (1a~2d)
单元话题 难忘的事件
教 材 分 析 本单元是人教版八年级英语下册第一单元,包括四个板块的内容( Section A、Grammar Focus、Section B和Self Check)。 这四个板块基本上都围绕着“难忘的事件”这一话题展开,讨论过去发生的重大事件。其中还涉及过去进行时的用法。教材通过图画中的情境和听说读写任务,让学生进一步掌握用过去进行时描述过去发生的事情。借助学生感兴趣的图片、录音,让他们能够充分体会到学习的快乐,调动他们学习英语的积极性。同时通过话题短文的阅读指导策略及写作,提高学生的语言运用能力,进而提高学生的综合素养。
教 材 分 析 Section A
该部分有3个模块:第一模块围绕“What were you doing when the rainstorm came ”这话题展开1a的内容,并进行听力训练(1b)和口语训练(1c); 第二模块围绕“男孩发生的一系列糟糕的事情” 进行听力训练(2a~2b) 和口语训练(2c~2d);第三模块就“The Storm Brought People Closer Together”这一话题展开阅读训练(3a~3b),并就这一话题进行进一步的讨论(3c)。
Grammar Focus
对所学语言结构进行总结,包括本单元的重要知识点——when和while引导的状语从句及过去进行时的用法。
教 材 分 析 Section B
该部分有3个模块: 第一模块是让学生思考生活中可能会迟到的场景并讲述他们的故事(1a);听录音,进行听力训练(1b~1c)和就听力内容进行口语训练(1d);第二模块围绕“Do You Remember What You Were Doing ”展开阅读,通过插图和标题让学生提前猜测文章内容(2a);再根据文章所给图片和内容进一步了解文章细节,激发学生进一步阅读(2b),让学生通过阅读获取信息,并完成读后任务(2b~2c),加深对文章中重点句子的理解(2d),回顾文中的事件发生的顺序,进行口语练习(2e);第三模块根据学生的记忆,让他们列出重大事件的提纲,然后写出该事件的细节,进而提高学生的写作水平(3a~3b)。
Self Check
该部分有2个模块:第一模块用连词when或while填空;第二模块用括号内所给动词的正确形式填空。

●1.I called at seven and you didn't pick up.我七点(给你)打电话,你没有接。
pick up在句中表示“接电话”,相当于pick up the phone。当名词作其宾语时,可放在pick 与up之间,也可放在up后面;当代词作其宾语时,必须放在pick与up之间。如:
He picked up the phone and said “hello”.他接了电话,说了声“你好”。
The phone rang and I picked it up.电话响了,我接了起来。
pick up 的其他含义:
(1)捡起;拾起。如:
Could you pick the book up 你能捡起那本书吗
(2)(偶然)得到;学会。如:
She picked up Spanish when she was living in Mexico.她住在墨西哥时学会了西班牙语。
(3)(开车)接人。如:
Your uncle will pick you up this evening, Tom. Tom,你叔叔今晚会来接你。
(4)让人乘车;搭载。如:
The bus stopped to pick up passengers.这辆公共汽车停下来搭载乘客。
●2.I called again at eight and you didn't answer then either.我八点又给你打电话,你那时也没接。
either在此句中作副词,意为“也”,位于否定句句末。如:
Yesterday I didn't watch TV. I didn't see a film, either. 昨天我没有看电视,也没有看电影。
辨析:either、too与also
三者均可意为“也”,其区别如下:
(1)either通常用于否定句,—般位于句末,其前可加逗号。如:
Jerry isn't from the USA. I'm not, either. Jerry不是来自美国,我也不是。
(2)too和also通常用于肯定句。但是too不如also正式,常用于口语中,一般位于句末,其前可加逗号。如:
My mother is a nurse, too. 我妈妈也是一名护士。
(3)also是正式用语,常位于be动词、情态动词和助动词之后,实义动词之前。如:
Jack bought a useful book. The book is also very interesting. Jack买了一本有用的书。这本书也非常有趣。
