An Unforgettable Event
An important event that I remember well was that Henan Province was hit by a heavy rainstorm in 2021. This led to flooding in many areas of the province. Many buildings and crops were flooded. About 400 people were missing or dead.
When I heard the news of this event, I was studying and I was so sad that I could hardly do anything after that. My sister was reading a book. My father was watching TV and my mother was doing some cleaning at that time. Then we all kept silent for a long time after hearing about the news.
Later, I knew that many soldiers from all over China came to help it out, and a large number of Chinese people from other provinces also donated money or daily things to people of the province.
This event is very unforgettable for everyone because it is very important in our history. The event makes me feel that I have a great motherland. I will study harder and try to make our motherland stronger and stronger.
