3. The Great Wall is famous all over the world. It’s one of the greatest wonders in the world.
The Great Wall was built in the Qin Dynasty and it is 2,000 years old. It’s in the north of China. The wall is about 6,700 kilometres long and stretches (延伸) from Shanhaiguan to Jiayuguan. The height of the wall is 7.8 metres, and its average (平均的) width is around 6.5 metres at the base and 5.8 metres at the top.
The Great Wall has become a symbol of the Chinese nation and its culture.

cross 动词,意为“横跨;穿越”,相当于walk (go) across,主要表示在物体的表面横穿
over 介词&副词,意为“越过;翻越”,强调从物体上方经过,不与物体接触
