Pre-writing ( 15 min) Ask Ss to translate the elements that a postcard includes into Chinese. Ask Ss to finish the task on page25. Ask Ss to observe the postcard and think about how to write a postcard, including the person that should be used and the content that could be written. Ask Ss to observe the tense that the auther used in the postcard. Ask Ss to finish the task on the PowerPoint about the tense. Guide Ss to review how to write English address. Translate the the elements that a poster includes into Chinese. finish the task on page25. observe the postcard and think about how to write a postcard, including the person that should be used and the content that could be written. observe the tense that the auther used in the postcard. finish the task on the PowerPoint about the tense. review how to write English address and take notes. While-writing (20 min) Provide Ss with some key words and ask Ss to finish the writing tasks on the worksheet. 2. Ask Ss to exchange their writing with their deskmates to check the mistakes. 3. Ask Ss to correct their mistakes in their writing. 4. Choose two Ss to show their writing in front of the whole class.
Homework (2 min) Ask Ss to write their own postcard. Finish their own postcard. To provide Ss with opportunity of using what they have learned into practice.
