本单元主题语境是“人与自然”,涉及的主题语境内容是学习英语、探索英语。本单元从介绍英语的历史开始,依次呈现了英语语言的多样性和创造性、英语构词法、英式英语与美式英语的差异、学生不熟悉的英语表达、英语学习中易被误解的表达等学习内容,丰富学生对英语的认知,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。 2.需要设计2个课时的作业,它们分别是第一课时:学生能够运用单元所学辨析语言的文化的差异性,了解英式英语和美式英语的差异;第二课时:描述个人在英语学习过程中的误解、理解英语的多样性;反思自己在英语学习过程中遇到的问题,创造性地提出英语学习的新方法。 3.通过第一课时的翻译句子,补充文本阅读材料等形式引导学生表达不同的language items表达的不同意义,使学生能注意导致这种语言的现象,以此初步明白英式英语与美式英语的差异性。接下来在第二课时让学生在明白语言的差异性的基础上,了解语言的不规则性、多样性和创造性,而正由于这一特性,所以我们常常会引起一系列的误解,从而引导学生用自己的语言解释误解产生的原因,并由此进一步让学生反思自己在英语学习过程中遇到的问题,并创造性地提出英语学习的新方法。
