[命题点一]Well, I don't doubt you would be a good boss, but I don't think wealth is the most important thing in life.我不怀疑你会成为一个好老板,但是我认为财富不是一生中最重要的东西。
1.doubt意为“怀疑”,用作动词,后跟名词、代词或从句。doubt还可用作名词。如:
You shouldn't doubt that he will change better.你不该怀疑他会变好。
There is no doubt that everything has changed. 毫无疑问,一切都变了。
2.I don't think 在本句中属于否定前移,根据语法的惯例,think、 suppose、 believe、 imagine、 guess 等后的宾语从句如果是否定句,要把否定转移到主句的think等动词上,这叫做“否定前移”或“否定前置”。 如:
I don't think you can eat so much.我认为你不能吃那么多。
