总结归纳
[明规则]
(1)过去将来时表示从过去某个时间看将要发生的动作或存在的状态,但这个“将来”时间绝不会延伸到“现在”，而仅限于“过去某段时间内”。
(2)过去将来时还可以表示过去的某种习惯性行为。
(3)过去将来时常用在主句谓语动词为过去时态的宾语从句、间接引语或虛拟语气中。

[明规则]
(1)was/ were about to do 表示“正要、即将做某事”，一般不与表示将来的具体时间连用。
(2)was/were to do 表示计划中约定做某事或按职责、义务要求必须做某事。(3)was/ were on the point of doing 结构表示“正要……时”。
(4)go, come, leave, take off 等少数动词或动词短语可用过去进行时表示过去将要发生的情况。
