[命题点一]When is your birthday 你的生日是什么时候 　
when作疑问副词,意为“什么时候”,常用于对时间进行提问, 回答时通常会用“月+日”来表示,也可以是具体的时间。
辨析when与what time
二者均可以对“时间”进行提问,when 通常用来询问某一段时间,也可对节日提问。what time 是对“具体的几点”进行提问。例如:
When can I see you 我什么时候可以见你

[命题点二]Maybe I need to make a calendar for you, too. 可能我也需要为你做一本日历。
need在本句中用作实义动词。need作实义动词时,后面的宾语可以是名词、动名词、动词不定式或代词,在这种情况下,need既可用于肯定句,也可用于否定句和疑问句,构成否定句和疑问句时要借助于助动词do或does。例如:
I need a new computer.我需要一台新的电脑。
You don't need to go to school by bike.你不必骑自行车去上学。
need也可作情态动词,后接动词原形,意为“需要”,变否定句直接在need后面加not,意为“不必”,变疑问句时直接将need提前,need本身无人称和数的变化。例如:
I live near my school. I needn't go to school by bus. 我住在学校附近,不需要坐公交车去上学。
