教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
Greet the class as usual.Put some pictures of instruments on the screen and then ask students to say their names.Ask students to draw some instruments on the paper.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Play the music.Ask them, “Do you know what the sound is ”Let students draw lines to match the words with the pictures.Then ask students to read the answers and check the answers.
2.Play the tape twice.Let students listen and number the words in the order of the sounds they hear in 1a.Ask students to read their own answers.Then check the answers.
3.Let the students ask and answer questions about the instruments in pairs.
A: Can you play the violin
B: No, I can't.
4.Ask the students to read the words in the box first and ask them to listen to the tape for the first time.Ask the students to circle the words they hear.Check the answers.Wait a few seconds, and then play it for the second time and ask students to complete the chart in 1e.After that, check the answers with the whole class.
5.Let the students read the three descriptions about Peter, Alan and Ma Huan.Underline what they can do.Let the students answer the questions.Then check the answers.Let the students read again and find out what they cannot understand.
Then the teacher writes down some new words on the blackboard, like also, people, home, make, today, center, weekend and teach.Ask the students to read after the teacher.At last, ask the students to repeat the text after the teacher.
6.Let the students read the ads in 2b.Match the titles with the ads.Check the answers.Then ask the students to read the ads and finish the tasks in 2c.Match each person in 2a with an ad in 2b.Write A, B and C.
Step 3 Homework
1.Learn the new words and the target language by heart.
2.Revise and do some exercises.

教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
Greet the class as usual.Revise what the students have learned from the last period.Ask the students to say something about their friends.Let's see what their friends can do.
Step 2 Cooperative inquiry
1.Ask the students to read the ad from the school magazine.The teacher can teach the students how to read the first part: Musicians Wanted for School Music Festival.Ask the students to fill in the blanks in 3a.After that, check the answers with the whole class.Ask the students to read once more and think about whether he or she can be the musician.
2.Ask the students to complete the following poster with the words in the box.They can use 3a for help.
3.Get the students to read words in the box, and then get them to learn how to write an ad and complete the poster in 3b.
4.Ask the students to read the words in the box first and ask them to write some more words.During the period, they can discuss with their classmates.After that, check the answers with the whole class.
5.With the same steps, complete the tasks in Self Check 2.
6.Go through the content on the blackboard and get the students to sum up what they have learned in this period.Ask some groups of students to act out their dialogues.
