Look and Discuss
Classical music is sophisticated and includes symphonies(交响曲), operas, sonatas(奏鸣曲) and song cycles(声乐套曲); it is well-ordered, mainly from the latter half of the 18th and the early 19th centuries.
Popular music originated in the United States and the United Kingdom during the mid-1950s and describes all music that is popular, a 'hit' and includes many different styles.
Country music comes from the folk style of the Southern United States typified by simple harmonies, accompanied by stringed(弦) instruments, e.g. guitar, fiddle(小提琴), banjo(班卓), and pedal steel(踏板电吉他); with repeated choruses(合唱), and often narrative lyrics.
Jazz music is a music genre that originated in the African-American areas of New Orleans, the United States, in the 20th century, and developed from roots in blues and ragtime.
Beijing Opera has a history of 200 years in which its fountainhead can be dated back to old local operas, especially Anhui Opera. It is a comprehensive acting art which blends singing, reading, acting, fighting and dancing together by using acting methods to narrate stories and depict characters.
Ballet is an artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established its present form during the 19th century, is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements and the use of pointe shoes.
Concert band is an ensemble for playing the instruments using wind. The main constituents are woodwind(木) instrument family, brass(铜) instrument family and percussion(打击) instrument family.
Exhibition is a public event at which pictures, sculptures, or other objects of interest are displayed, for example at a museum or art gallery.

I am a fan of most art forms. I really enjoy band performances and comedies. I also go to some exhibitions of modern art in my spare time. I think it is wonderful. However, my favourite thing is dance performances. The performers are just amazing. They are all very professional and talented. Among all the components, the best part is the atmosphere on the scene and the perfect combination of music composition and movements. Thanks to the fantastic costumes and stage design, I can enjoy the energetic and uplifting performances better.
