Before Dora, a 16-year-old girl, goes to school, she posts a quick comment on Micro Blog. "I could never live without the Internet. " The first thing she does every morning is to turn on her computer and check for any messages from her friends.
It's sure that the Internet plays a central role in the lives of modern teens. But when it links to the outside world, it can connect us with dangerous threats as easily as amusements. No one knew this more than 15-year-old Amanda Todd, who experienced months of online bullying (欺凌). Amanda had done something really embarrassing and mistakenly posted those photos onto webpages and they were seen by many of her schoolmates. Some of them began making rude comments and spreading rumors (流言)online. Amanda was horribly embarrassed, and as the online bullying continued, she developed depression (抑郁症)and anxiety and even changed schools. However, some of her new schoolmates found out about the photos and the nightmare started all over again. Eventually, on 10th October, 2013, Amanda lost her own life.
We can learn several things from Amanda's tragic story. For starters, we should be aware that people can easily lie to say who they are and cover their true intentions online. We should think of web-space as a window into our world, so be careful of whom you let in. Always remember that your online behaviour can come back to trouble you for years to come, because there is no such thing as the delete button in web-space. Last but not least, we should remember every user's ID. It represents a person, so think before you post.
Never forget that the Internet world is also a real world with real consequences (后果). Be a good net citizen and be safe.

C.Her classmates were friendly to her all the time.
D.She posted those photos onto the webpages on purpose.
11.What's the meaning of the underlined word "tragic" in the third paragraph
A.Special. B.Strange. C.Miserable. D.Dangerous.
12.For whom is the passage likely written
A.Young girls. B.Teens' parents.
C.Young net citizens. D.Common net citizens.

Robin Hood is one of the most popular and interesting characters in English folk (民间的) stories, and his story is quite well known across the world. In fact, stories about the adventures of Robin Hood have been around for over six hundred years. There have been several films made about him, including three in Hollywood. But who was he, and was he actually real
In the thirteenth century, King Richard and his army were fighting in foreign lands. Richard's brother John ruled England while he was away. John was a cruel (残忍的) ruler, and so was his friend — the terrible police officer of Nottingham. The police officer asked for money from all the people who lived in the area of Nottingham. The poor had to pay a lot and struggled (挣扎) to live.
In the story, Robin Hood was angry at the unfairness and decided to fight against it. He and his fellows lived in Sherwood Forest, a large wood near Nottingham. They caught the king's deer for food. They also robbed (抢) rich people who were travelling through the forest and gave the money to poor people. The forest was considered a dangerous place, but to Robin and his band, it was a place of safety, away from the police officer's men.
There are some findings that a man called Robin Hood actually lived during the thirteenth century. The fact is that he was not quite such a good man as the one in the folk stories. But it is the heroic character in the story that we remember.
Today, Sherwood Forest is a tourist attraction. Nearly a million people every year come to learn about Britain's most famous Robin Hood. And even if he wasn't quite such a great man, it's a great story!

We are often encouraged to perform random acts of kindness. It urges us to do kind things for others without thinking or planning ahead. Research shows that acts of kindness can make us feel better and improve our health. Researchers also say kindness plays an important part in how humans develop. Scientific evidence suggests that we are designed to be kind.
Most animals are only helpful to those in their close"family" groups but are not kind or helpful to strangers. But humans are different. Humans realize that there is not much difference between those close to us and strangers. Strangers can help us if we are kind to them. That is why we help strangers in need. In English there's an expression: to rely on the kindness of strangers.
Research shows that our bodies can also reward us for being kind to others. Scientists have tested this idea in many experiments over the past 20 years. Psychology professor Sonja Lyubomirsky has found repeatedly that people feel better when they are kind to others, even more so than when they are kind to themselves. "Acts of kindness are very powerful," she said. In one experiment, she asked people to perform three acts of kindness for other individuals each week. These kind acts include opening a door for someone. She asked a different group to do three acts of self-kindness. People who were kind to others reported feeling happier and more connected to the world.
Lyubomirsky studied a group of people with the disease multiple sclerosis(多发性硬化). She found that they felt better physically when they helped others. Her research showed that people who performed more acts of kindness had less inflammation(发炎)or swelling(肿胀)in their bodies.
29.What can we know from Paragraph1
A.We should give others a hand unconditionally.

C.Acts of kindness are beneficial to our health.
D.kindness plays a less important part in a person's life.

B.Humans are willing to assist strangers.
C.Most animals help others in need.

A.To give a example. B.To explain a situation.
C.To support evidence. D.To draw a comparison.
32.What may be the best tile for the text
A.Random Acts of Kindness B.Better Late than Never
C.Doing Is Better than Saying D.Do well and Have well

There is an old saying in English, "Laughter is the best medicine". Until recently, few people took the saying very seriously. Now, however, doctors have begun to study laughter and the effects it has on the human body. They have found evidence(证据) that laughter really can improve people's health.
Tests were carried out to study the effects of laughter on the body. People watched fun films while doctors checked their heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and muscles. It's found that laughter has similar effects to physical exercise. It increases blood pressure, the heart rate and the rate of breathing.
Other tests have shown that laughter appears to ease the pain on the body. In one experiment doctors make two groups of students listen to different radio programs. Bananas are good snack(点心). Not only are they sweet and delicious, but they are easy to take around, so you can take them anywhere. Best of all, bananas provide (提供) different things that the human body needs!
Bananas grow best in warm places that get lots of rain. They grow on plants that look like trees. The banana plant, however, is considered a herb (草本) rather than a tree because it doesn't have a strong, woody stem (干、茎). The plants can grow as high as 30 feet. When they reach their full height, flowers grow out from the stem. These flowers produce bananas.
Two or three times each year, the plants produce fruit. The bananas grow together, which seem like "hands". A hand is made up of 10 to 20 bananas. Growers sometimes call bananas "fingers". Each bunch (丛) of bananas has about 15 hands, and so a whole bunch may have as many as 200 bananas and can weigh more than 100 pounds.
After about three months, farmers pick(摘) the bananas. At this point, they still aren't the sunny yellow color: bananas. Farmers pick them when they're green. That's how they're shipped to stores. They turn yellow along the way and are ready to be sold.
If you love bananas, you've got a lot of company. Americans have been enjoying bananas since the first shipment arrived in the United States in
