句法分析
as...as...意为“和……一样……”,表示同级的比较。使用时要注意第一个as为副词,第二个as为连词。
其基本结构为:as+adj./adv.+ as,接形容词或副词的原级。在否定句中,第一个 as也可换成so。
若涉及数量或程度,可用“as much+不可数名词+as”和“as many+可数名词复数+as”。
其接形容词时,有时该形容词还可修饰另一名词,但这个名词应带有不定冠词,构成“as+adj.+a/an+n.+as”(注意词序)。
根据情况可用half,one third,twice,three times,30 per cent等修饰,并且这些修饰语必须置于第一个as之前,而不能置于其后。

关于文化遗产保护的报道
写作指导
新闻报道是对新近发生的事实的报道。新闻反映新发生的、重要的、有意义的、能引起广泛兴趣的事实,具有迅速、明了、简短的特点。
一、新闻报道写作的语言特点
1.具体。新闻用事实说话,五个W和一个H(when,where,who, what,why和how)是构成一则完整消息不可缺少的要素,这就需要记述具体的时间、地点、人、事、经过、因果等。
2.准确。新闻语言不能含糊其词、模棱两可,也不能夸大或缩小事实。
3.简练。新闻语言要简明扼要、直截了当。
二、新闻写作的结构
新闻报道的主体结构主要由标题、导语、正文和结束语四部分组成。
标题(headline):标题是文章的眼睛,浓缩概括全文的中心问题,要简洁、生动、具有概括性。
导语(lead or introduction):导语是新闻的开头,通常为文章的第一段。要求用极简明的文字概括新闻的主要事实。
正文(body):在导语的基础上,引入更多的与主题相关的事实,使之更加翔实、具体,并展开评论,进而得出结论。
结束语(conclusion):一般是最后一句话或者一段话,通常对全文内容作概括性的总结和对新闻事件的发展趋势作出预测。有时作者会根据报道的事实在结束语中提出令人深思的问题。

定语从句(3)——限制性定语从句
在句中起定语的作用,修饰某一名词或代词,或修饰整个句子的从句叫作定语从句。被修饰的词叫作先行词。根据定语从句与先行词关系的紧密程度,可将定语从句分为限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句。一般来说,限制性定语从句在意义上是先行词不可缺少的定语,如果省略,所修饰的先行词往往不明确,这种定语从句前面一般不用逗号。
一、引导限制性定语从句的关系代词
1.who指人,在定语从句中可以充当主语或宾语。
Here comes the girl who wants to see you.(做主语)
Danny is a man who we should learn from.(做宾语)
2.whom指人,在定语从句中做宾语,可省略,也可用who代替。
The girl (whom) the teacher often praises is Rose.(做宾语)
3.whose可修饰人,也可修饰物,表“所属”关系,whose在定语从句中做定语。
Any student whose family can’t afford him to go to school can get help from the government.(whose在从句中做定语,修饰人)
He lives in a room whose window faces north.(whose在从句中做定语,修饰物)
4.which指事物,在定语从句中做主语或宾语,做宾语时可省略。
China is a country which has a long history.(做主语)

5.that既可指人,也可指物,在定语从句中做主语或宾语,做宾语时可省略。

二、引导限制性定语从句的关系副词
当引导定语从句的关系词在从句中用作时间、地点、原因状语时,应使用关系副词when,where,why或“介词+which”。
(一)关系副词的作用如下
1.指代表示时间、地点、原因的先行词。
2.在从句中充当句子成分——状语,即在从句中起副词的作用。
3.起连接作用,把主句和定语从句连接起来构成主从复合句。
(二)关系副词引导的定语从句
1.when引导定语从句的用法
(1)当先行词是表示时间的名词(如time,day,year,month, week等),且关系词在从句中做时间状语时,定语从句用when引导。
(2)when可以换成“介词+which”。
I still remember the time when(=in which) I was in college.
I have forgotten the exact date when(=on which) this country became independent.
2.where引导定语从句的用法
(1)当先行词是表示具体地点的名词(如 place,room, mountain,airport等)或抽象地点的名词(如case,state, condition,point,situation等),且关系词在从句中做地点状语时,定语从句用where引导。
(2)where可以换成“介词+which”。
We have reached a point where a change is needed.
He gets into a situation where it is hard to decide what is right or wrong.
This is the hotel where(=in which) they stayed.
3.why引导定语从句的用法
(1)当先行词是表示原因的名词reason,且关系词在从句中做原因状语时,定语从句用why引导,且只能引导限制性定语从句。
(2)why可以用for which来代替。
This is the reason why (=for which) he left in a hurry.
三、介词+关系代词which/whom/whose
1.China is the country in which the compass was first invented.
in which在定语从句中充当地点状语,相当于副词where。
2.The professor to whom I spoke is a learned man.
to whom中的to是动介搭配speak to,提前后只能用whom,介词提前不能与who,that连用。
3.She is the very person with whose help I found my lost bike.
“介词+whose+名词”在定语从句中做状语。
注意:在“介词+关系代词”引导的定语从句中,介词的选择依据习惯搭配而定;并且在一些固定搭配中,如动词短语,有时动词和介词不可分割,因此不能把介词置于关系代词之前。
