4. 辨析：一般过去时与过去进行时
过去进行时表示过去某个时刻或某一时间段内正在进行或发生的动作，强调动作正在进行。一般过去时表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态，强调动作已发生或已完成。
David wrote a letter to me last night.
大卫昨晚给我写了封信。(信写完了。)
David was writing a letter to me last night.
大卫昨晚一直在给我写信。(信不一定写完。)
过去进行时 构成： was/were + doing
时间词：
1. 常与表示过去某一时刻的时间状语连用，如： at eight last night, at the time of
2. 常与when 和while 引导的时间状语从句连用，表示当一个动作发生时，另外一个动作正在进行。
3. 过去进行时还可以表示两个过去的动作同时进行，这时可用while来连接两个分句。
动名词doing变化规则
