Topic Talk
教材分析
本单元主题语境是“人与社会”下的“小说、戏剧、诗歌、传记、文学简史、经典演讲、文学名著等”。学生通过多模态语篇的学习,能够从多角度了解和体会各类文学作品的思想意义和精神价值,有助于形成积极向上的生活态度,树立健康正确的人生观和价值观。
Topic Talk部分是本单元的起始课,起到了激活主题相关背景知识的作用,并为本单元后面的教学内容做了话题、词汇以及思维的铺垫。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1. 阅读并谈论文学作品;
2. 听取细节信息;
3. 简短评述最喜欢的一本书;
4. 讨论关于literature的名言,体会深层含义。

教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. What genres of literature do you know
2. Work in pairs. Use the diagram to talk about the types of literature you enjoy reading and give your reasons.
设计意图:引入话题, 激活学生已有知识;同时积极引导学生回顾、拓展与话题相关的表达。
Step 2 Pre-listening
Read the text builder carefully and learn some new words.
设计意图:在听前帮助学生解决词汇障碍,为接下来的听力活动做铺垫。
Step 3 Listening
Listen to the dialogue and complete it by underlining the expressions you hear.
设计意图:引导学生理解听力信息,完成句子;学生能够获取大致信息和一些细节信息,启发学生发现文本内部结构,为话题输出做好准备。
Step 4 Speaking
Use the Text Builder to talk about the literary works you like to read and give your reasons.
设计意图:帮助学生巩固所学,运用所学表达自己对文学作品的看法。

Step 8 Assignment
Summarise and polish what they have talked about the books they like reading and write a short paragraph explaining why they like reading them.
设计意图:巩固课上所学,在口语输出后,再经过语言提炼及润色进行写作输出,提升学生的写作能力及表达自己观点看法的能力。

I like reading poetry the most. I find poetry fascinating and absorbing. I read aloud and enjoy the description. I always recite my favourite stanzas. It has good rhyme and the meaning is profound.
