Content Analysis What 2a/2b通过David 和Lisa,Bob 和Mary的对话,以听对话内容圈出不同俱乐部,然后再补全句子,根据个人的才能加入不同俱乐部。2d是Jane和Bob的一段日常对话,通过两人的表演,表达个人的爱好和才艺,加入了适合自己的俱乐部,反复练习了重点句型。这些语篇均是第一课时的延伸和拓展,同时呈现了有关询问加入俱乐部的句型,并引入表达意愿的方式。
Why 主要训练学生的看、听、说及演的能力,并且通过调查和谈论自己或他人的活动来巩固语言目标,帮助学生表达自己的意向,展示自己的能力,学生在学习之余可以发展自己的兴趣爱好。
How 通过社团招新询问对方的能力与意向。对话主要包括:面试官率先询问意向;面试官询问能力,相较于第一课时,这里的不同在于运用了特殊疑问句来询问能力。对话包含了相关俱乐部名称的主题词汇,如chess club, English club, art club, music club等,还有不同的人表达自己意愿、询问对方参加俱乐部意向的语言表达,如 “...want to join the ...club.” “What club do/does...want to join... ” 等。对话使用一般现在时询问以及回答。

(Applying and practicing) 4.Use the sentences in this lesson to talk about abilities and different kinds of clubs. (Transferring and Creating) Summary 1. Lead in Show some pictures of the clubs and use the sentence patterns to review the old knowledge - show many kinds of clubs and invite students to answer : I can ____. I want to join the ______ club. 2.Presentation Show some pictures about different clubs to learn the sentence patterns:What club do/does you/he/she want to join --I want/ He/She wants to join the.......--What sports can you play 3.Let students look at the picture in 2a and predict what are they talking about Let students read the club phrases in pair /group. 4.Listening practice. 1) 2a Listen to these two conversations and circle the clubs you hear. 2) 2b Listen again. Complete the sentences. Tips: Pay attention to key words; Write the first letter, then complete and check; 3)Listen and Repeat. Then ask them to talk about what club they want to join and what they can do in the listening material. 4.2d. 1)Let students listen to the tape of 2d and fill in the blank. 2) Explain language points in 2d. 3) Role-play the conversation. 5.Groupwork. Level B Look at 2b and talk about what the people can do and the clubs they want to join. Useful expression: A: What club does Lisa want to join B: She wants to join the ... A: Can she... B: ... Level A Make a survey on students' abilities and invite students to perform their talents, then choose the super performer. Useful expression: In our group, I can.... . but I can't... Lily can... . so she wants to join the . . club. Students summarize the points of this class by drawing mind-map on notebook. Observe if they can read the words correctly. Choose some students to check if they have mastered. Observe if they can express the sentence patterns correctly they have learned. Observe if students can finish the listening task alone. Try to evaluate if their conversation is a good one according to the evaluation sheet. Observe if they can perform tasks at their level according to the teacher’s request. Observe if they can use and pronounce the words and sentence patterns correctly. To review previous words and phrases in Period 1.
