教材内容分析 本课时为本单元第一课时,是一节听说课。首先,通过图文将学生带入“选择电影院”的话题。1a-1c通过图文及听力活动创设真实谈论电影院各项特点(big screens, best sound, comfortable seats等)的语境,让学生对本单元语法知识有初步的了解并能掌握一定数量的描述性词汇;2a-2c以听说练习的形式对单元重点话题和句型进行了拓展,对描述性词汇也进行了扩充;2d设置了更为真实的情境:为新来的邻居介绍周围生活服务场所。
重点 掌握与电影院、服装店等相关场所有关的词汇; 正确运用形容词和副词的原级和比较等级(特别是最高级),来描述事物;
难点 对多音节形容词和副词的拼读以及最高级的运用上;
学情分析 本课时谈论的“你所居住的城镇”话题,与学生生活联系紧密, 通过有效的情境创设和问题引导,学生会积极主动参与各种语言实践活动。在之前的学习中,他们也已掌握部分形容词与副词,具备一定程度的听说读看写技能,并且在前一单元的学习中,对于形容词和副词的比较级变化规律也相当熟悉,这都为此课时的学习奠定了基础。

Step 1. Lead-in. Enjoy the video and have a free talk with the help of the pictures. Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Sa: Twice a month. Sb: Once a month. Step 2. Pre-listeningⅠ. Look at the pictures and learn to read the phrases and try to understand the meaning, such as comfortable seats, big screens, best sound, etc. Finish 1a. Write the things in the box under“Important” or“Not Important”. Then talk about their opinions. Sa: It’s important for me that I can buy tickets quickly in a movie theater. Sb: I like the movie theater with the biggest screen. Sc: I like the movie theater with the most comfortable seats. Step 3. While-listeningⅠ. Look through the instruction and the chart in 1b. Listen to the conversation and check the answers. Sa: Movie World has the biggest screens and the most comfortable seats. Step 4. Post-listeningⅠ. Work in pairs and make conversations. Sa: What’s the best movie theater Sb: Sun Cinema. It’s the cheapest. Sa: But I think Moon Theater has the most comfortable seats. Step 5. ListeningⅡ. Read the instruction first. Listen to the conversation and circle the boy's answers. Sa: Miller's is the best clothes store. Sb: The best radio station is 107.9FM. Listen again. Write the correct store or radio station next to each statement. Listen and complete the conversations with the superlatives. Step 6. Post-listeningⅡ. Sa: What’s the best clothes store in town Sb: I think Miller’s is the best. Sa: Why do you think so Sb: Well, Miller’s has the best clothes and you can buy clothes the most cheaply there. Step 7. Role-play. Read the conversation in 2d and answer the questions. Sa: In the supermarket on Center Street. Sb: Sun Cinema. Sc: He thinks it’s fantastic. Then role play the conversation in groups and then in front of the class. Step 8. Team racing. Work in groups and talk about the supermarkets, restaurants, ... around us from service, quality and prices. Select the best group. Step 9. Summary. Have a summary of the new words, grammar and sentences with the T’s help. Play a video of some movie clips. T: Long time no see , Cinema! Do you like movies T: How often do you go to the movies T: How do you choose which theater to go Present some pictures to teach some phrases about movie theaters. T: Which are important for you Which are not so important for you Ask Ss to classify the phrases in 1a and share their opinions. The sentence structures are given. T: Which movie theater do you like best in your city Present some pictures for Ss to choose and talk about their favorite movie theaters. Invite one S to talk about his or her favorite movie theater. The structure is given on the screen. Let Ss read the names and the qualities of the cinemas and make sure they can understand the meaning. Play the recording and let Ss match the items. Then report their answers to have a check. Ask Ss to practice the conversation and then talk about the movie theaters they know with their partners. Some qualities are provided on the screen. T: Which clothes store would you like to go to Which radio station would you like to listen to T: A reporter is interviewing a boy. Let’s listen. Play the recording for Ss to choose the best places. Then play for another three times for Ss to write the names and fill in the blanks. Ask Ss to read the example first. Ask Ss to work in pairs and make conversations between the reporter and the boy. Present the questions on the screen. 教 学 反 思
本节课在讲解时,学生已经对比较级有了较深认识,因此在比较级的基础上,学习最高级的变化较为容易,知识可以产生迁移。所以在1a-2d 的部分对语法的讲解可以轻松解决,应该画更多时间放在听与说话题上。对于时间的把控应该还要加强。
