从属连词用来连接主句(main clause)和从句 (subordinate clause) 。

Subordinating Conjunctions
The role of a subordinating conjunction and the dependent clause is to establish a time, a place, a reason, a condition, a concession, or a comparison for the main clause.The subordinating conjunction provides the bridge between the main clause and the dependent clause.
“从属连词+从句”结构的作用是为主句进行时间，地 点，原因，条件，让步或比较等方面的构建，让主句和从 句具有一定的逻辑关联。从属连词犹如一座桥梁，连接了 主句和从句。
