Dear Editor,
I would like to participate in your summer camp as it would be incredibly beneficial to help me analyse my life choices. My issues are multitudinous and complicated. Firstly, I have difficulty in waking up early. I’m always tired during the day and often feel worn out. This causes me to overeat and snack frequently. I am also constantly late and hence stressed under time pressure all day long. In the evening, I need to relax so I resort to the fallback of my iPhone to check messages and surf and shop online. I often lose track of time and fall asleep in the early hours of the morning with my phone.

During Primary and middle school I was a grade A student, but now I am struggling to keep up with my peers. I really want to get my life back on track. I want to find the discipline to change my sleeping habits and overcome my phone addiction. I also want to find a healthier eating and exercise regime and stick to it.

Dear Editor,
I was walking past a shop window the other day when I saw my reflection. At first, I didn't realise it was me. When I saw it was me, I felt sad as I was overweight. I didn't realise how I looked, and now I really want to change. I really like eating, but I realise I eat too much, and I don't eat good things.
I want to change because I want to be able to look at myself and feel happy with how I look. I also want to be healthy. My plan is to change my diet and exercise regularly. I will stop eating sugar, and only eat at meal times rather than eating snacks during the day. I will focus on healthy foods. Then I will exercise every day. I will walk to school and back, and on the weekend, I will go swimming.
I have only been doing my plan for a week, but I'm already starting to feel better. I haven't lost a lot of weight yet, but I feel positive. I feel confident that I will reach my goal!
