Point
1. take the subway (教材P13 1a)
take作动词,意为 “乘坐”。“take a/the+表示交通工具的名词” 表示乘坐某种交通工具。
take + the/a + 交通工具 + to + 地点= get/go to + 某地 + by + 交通工具
eg:He often takes the subway to work.= He goes to work by subway.

— No, I usually take the bus. 不,我通常乘公共汽车。
take a/the train 乘火车 take a/the plane 乘飞机

此处how引导的特殊疑问句用来询问交通方式。可用以下表达来回答:
① take/drive/ride+冠词+表示交通工具的名词
② by+表示交通工具的名词
③ on/in+冠词/物主代词+表达交通工具的名词
④ drive/walk/ride/fly…(to+地点名词)
eg:—How does she get to hospital 她怎样到医院?
—Ride a bike./ By bike. 骑自行车。
注意: on foot, by bike, by bus, by subway, by train, by car等词组的名词前不能加任何冠词或其他修饰词。
例:我骑自行车到学校。
I ride my bike to school.
I get to school by bike.
I get to school on my bike.

3. one hundred and five (教材P14 2a)
当表示具体的“几百”时,用“数词+hundred”, 此时的hundred必须是单数形式,后接可数名词复数。
eg:There are about two hundred teachers in our school.
我们学校大约有两百名老师。
hundreds of 是固定短语,意为“数百的;成百上千的”,表示不确切的数量,不可与具体的数词连用,后接可数名词的复数形式。
eg:Hundreds of players take part in the game.
数百名运动员参加这次比赛。
口诀:模糊数字两有(有s有of);具体数字两无(无s无of)
