This lesson is the first part of unit 8 in 8 B.The topic is a good read.Its purpose is to help students master some new words and phrases as well as different kinds of books.It also aims to stimulate their love of reading.According to the above, I made the following teaching aims, key points and difficult points.
Teaching aims:
Students can master some new words and expressions as well as different kinds of books.
Students can describe their favourite books.
Students can enjoy reading.
Key points:
Help students master some new words and expressions as well as different kinds of books.
Difficult points:
Help students describe different kinds of books.
In order to achieve the above teaching aims and break through the key point and difficult point, I take the following teaching procedures.
Step 1 Lead in
Ask students to watch a video called reading is a lifelong companion and lead students to describe the main idea of the video to lead in the topic of this lesson.
Step 2 Watch and guess
Ask students to watch a video about Eddie and Hobo and answer two questions to evoke students’ curiosity.
Step 3 Read and dub
Ask students to read the comic part together and practice dubbing the dialogue to stimulate their love of studying English.
Step 4 Choose and match
Ask students to classify different kinds of books and match the good points with the types. Ask students to tell their answers in sentence I like books about... because... The purpose of this step is to realize the knowledge aim and break through the key point of this lesson, making preparation for the following part.
Step 5 Listen and choose
Ask students to listen to the dialogue and choose the correct answer. This part is based on the listening part of the senior high school entrance examination, with the purpose of helping students master some new words in the process of listening.
Step 6 Discuss and practice
Ask students to work in group of 4 and choose one information card to talk about their favourite books. This step is to achieve the ability aim and break through the difficult point.
Step 7 Write and share
Ask students to work in group of 4 and write down part of their discussion according to the sample. This step is to achieve the ability aim and break through the difficult point further.
At last, I share a video of Readers with the students to stimulate their interest of reading.
Step 8 Homework

本节课是八下第四单元的第一课时，主题是“一本好读物”，旨在让学生能够掌握相关生词并了解不同种类的书籍，同时激发他们对于阅读的热爱。围绕以上内容，我制定了以下教学目标和重难点。
教学目标：
知识目标：学生能够掌握相关生词和短语并了解不同种类的书籍。
能力目标：学生能够用英语描述自己喜爱的书籍。
情感目标: 学生能够热爱阅读。
教学重点：
帮助学生了解不同种类的书籍。
教学难点：
帮助学生用英语描述自己喜爱的书籍。
为了实现以上教学目标和突破以上重难点我采用了以下教学步骤。
导入
让学生观看一段名为《阅读相伴一生》的视频并引导学生描述视频的主要内容，从而导入本节课的话题。
观看并猜测
让学生观看Eddie和Hobo的视频并回答问题，从而激发学生的好奇心。
朗读和配音
让学生读漫画部分的对话并两两练习配音，从而激发学生学习英语的热情。
选择和匹配
让学生将书籍归类并匹配相关类型书籍的好处。用I like books about... because...句型谈论不同种类的书籍。这一活动主要是为了实现第一个教学目标并突破本节课的重点，同时为接下来的输出做准备。
听对话并选择
让学生听B部分对话并练习相关听力题。本部分的题目以中考听力题为原型，旨在让学生在练习听力的过程中获取本节课的相关生词。
讨论和操练
让学生分成四人一组，每组选择一张信息卡（小说的简介），小组讨论自己喜爱的书籍。这一步是为了实现第二个教学目标以及突破本节课的难点。
写作和分享
让学生四人一组，小组合作，参照范文，将讨论的部分内容写成一篇文章。这一步是为了进一步实现第二个教学目标以及突破本节课的难点。
最后给学生们分享一段朗读者的视频，从而激发他们对阅读的热爱。
作业
