连词：并列连词和从属连词两大类
并列连词:是连接主语与主语，谓语与谓语，句子与句子，分词与分词的词，它要求前后两部分有相同的形式和语法作用；例如 both A and B 表并列的连词有and（和），as well as（既…又），both … and（不但…而且），not only … but also（不但…而且），not … but（不是…而是），neither … nor（既不…也不），
表选择关系的有：or（或者），
either … or（不是…就是），表转折关系的有：but （但是），yet（然而）
表因果关系的有：for,so,because
表对比的有：while
如：Both my brother and my sister are teachers./ His room is bright but mine is gloomy（暗沉沉的）./ He can not only repair radios but also fix them./ It is a glorious（光荣的）yet difficult task./ Strike while iron is hot./She likes English while he likes maths.
从属连词一般连接主句与从句，从句形式有名词性从句，定语从句和状语从句等。
从属连词
从属连词是指在复合句中引导从句的连结词，如主句+连词+从句，或者连词+从句，主句。常见的从属连词有：
1.引导时间状语从句的：when, as, while，after, before, , since, until, till, as soon as (注意not...until固定搭配）,/the moment,the minute... no sooner...than;hardly...when...均为一。。。就。。。
g 1. I listened carefully while she was singing.
E.g 2. He didn’t go to bed until his father came back.
E.g 3. Tell him the news the moment you meet Tom.
2.引导原因状语从句的：because/since, as, now that(语气最弱）
E.g 1.Because I like math, I listen to the math class very carefully.
2.As it’s raining, you’d better take a taxi.
3.Since everybody is here,let’s begin.
4.Now that you are here, let’s come together.
3.引导让步状语从句的：although, though, however, while,no matter（无论）, even if (though)
E.g While we are suffering such a severe natural disaster,we will eventually overcome the temporary difficulty as long as we don’t lose heart.
注意：as/though 引导让步状语从句需要倒装 E.g Child as/though he was, he knew what was the right thing to do.
4.引导条件状语从句的：if, unless, once, so (as) long as, on condition that
高频考点：如果主句是一般将来时，条件从句用一般现在时代替将来时。
If you study hard, you will be admitted to a famous university.
She says that she’ll have to close the shop unless business improves. ( 她说如果生意不见起色的话，她就将店关了。）
5.引导结果状语从句的：so … that …, such … that … (eg. so +adj +that...)
高频考点：常用句型 so+形容词、副词 +that从句
so + 形容词+a/an +单数名词+ that 从句
so many/much/little/few + 名词 + that 从句
such+ a/an + 形容词+单数可数名词+that 从句
E.g He is so young that he cannot go to school.
It is such weather that we all want to go out for a walk.
引导目的状语从句的：so that …, in order that … ，in case...
E.g Take action today so that/in order that you won’t miss your opportunity next time.
E.g You may leave the key at home in case one of us should think of coming back.
7.引导比较状语从句的：as … as …, not so (as) … as …, … than …
引导方式状语从句的：as if …
E.g He earns less than his wife does.
引导主语，宾语或表语从句的连词主要有：that, whether, if三个。其中that 和whether间或还可以引起同位从句和状语从句。
8.地点状语 多用where 引导
Where he once felt like giving up, he now has the determination to push further and keep on going.
在他曾经想要放弃的地方，他现在下定决心要推进一步，继续前行。
