Top Chinese Restaurants in the Greater Seattle Area
Xi’an Noodles
Biang biang noodles take their name from the satisfying sound you hear when chefs slap dough (面团) on the counter. The impact creates the specialty noodles of the northwest Chinese city of Xi’an. These chewy, hand-ripped noodles center in most dishes on the menu. Order them as a soup, or as a bowl tossed with spicy cumin (孜然) lamb or just some chili hot oil.
Friendship BBQ
The Northeastern-Chinese-style grilled baroque restaurant is actually the Seattle branch of a New York-based chain. Meats and seafood come coated in a cumin-forward seasoning with your choice of spice level. Don’t miss the side dishes, including the garlic eggplant, which is roasted until the flesh is covered with a garlic sauce. Despite its authentic taste, you’ll constantly be wowed by its cool new recipes. That’s probably what sets it apart in the Chinese food scene.
Dumpling Generation
As the name implies, baskets of steamed dumplings are the move here. The wrappers are hand-rolled—not too thin or thick—and the fillings are savory and juicy. If you prefer a strong taste, get the dumplings that include Chinese chives (韭菜), which have large, flat leaves that aren’t afraid to announce their presence.
Imperial Garden
The dim sum menu contains all the favorites and any extras make great takeaway. But Imperial Garden’s star remains the Peking Roast Duck—shaved pieces of meat topped with long narrow pieces of shiny duck skin, served with steamed pancakes. While the restaurant uses white tablecloths and is spacious enough to accommodate large banquets, the vibe (氛围) isn’t formal.
22.What do Dumpling Generation and Xi’an Noodles have in common
A.Steamed foods. B.Handmade dishes. C.Plain tastes. D.Northwestern origin.
23.If you plan to organize a grand family gathering, which is the most suitable place
A.Imperial Garden. B.Dumpling Generation.
C.Friendship BBQ. D.Xi’an Noodles.
24.How is Friendship BBQ different from other Chinese restaurants

We The Curious
Formerly known as At-Bristol, this harbourside science museum relaunched in 2017 as We The Curious to better reflect its mission to get kids to ask questions and engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (Stem subjects) in creative ways.
Best things about it
My kids don’t shy away from telling me if they think a museum is boring but here they were too busy rushing from one hands-on exhibit to the next to have any such complaint. They dressed up as bees to catch pollen (花粉) made cheese, watched ice form, weighed human brains and stretched out strips of DNA to compare the genetic sequence (基因序列) of a monkey and an armadillo.
Value for money
Given that the science museums in London, Manchester and Newcastle are free, it does jar (不一致) having to pay 14.50 for adults and 9.50 for kids (aged 3—15) to get in. Kids under 3 are free. I did have to push them out the door at the end of the day. Weeks on, they still refer back to things they learnt there.
Getting there
We The Curious is near the National Cycle Network (routes 3, 4, and 33). The museum has lots of bicycle parking. Alternatively, it’s a 10-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads railway station or a five-minute taxi ride or 17-minute ferry ride. If driving, follow the We The Curious brown signs and park at the Millennium Square car park for free.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday 10 am—5 pm, 10am-6pm at weekends and Bristol school holidays; closed 24—26 December.
34.What highlights We The Curious
A.A long and splendid history. B.Mental health support for children.
C.Educational and fun activities. D.A hands-on products exhibition.
35.How much would a couple with their 5-year-old twin sons pay for admission
A. 29. B. 33.5. C. 38.5. D. 48.
36.What do we learn from the passage
A.It charges parking fees. B.It opens all year round.
C.It is conveniently located. D.It offers many types of bikes.

根据第四段中的“We The Curious is near the National Cycle Network (routes 3, 4, and 33). The museum has lots of bicycle parking. Alternatively, it’s a 10-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads railway station or a five-minute taxi ride or 17-minute ferry ride.(We The Curious靠近国家自行车网(路线3、4和33)。博物馆有很多自行车停车场。或者,从布里斯托尔寺院草原站步行10分钟,或乘坐5分钟出租车或17分钟轮渡。)”可知,We The Curious科学博物馆靠近国家自行车网,离火车站很近,而且乘坐出租车和轮渡均可在短时间内到达,由此可推测出,该博物馆位置便利。故选C。易错点纠错练01 阅读理解:应用文易错练

San Pedro
This restaurant serves Portuguese cuisine. Try the baked fish (seabass or red snapper), curry debal chicken (can be quite spicy), fried brinjals and the black pepper crabs, Call ahead to reserve a table (and your fish), because once their fish runs out, they will close for the day.
