1.To watch the video and find out what are the five popular sports in the UK.
2.To have a basic knowledge about some familiar sports and learn to introduce and evaluate them.
3.To think about the advantages that doing sports can bring to us.
4. To make students realize the importance of doing sports.
教学内容:
Starting out:通过多种媒介,展示不同不同类型的体育运动及给人们带来的益处。
Traditional sports in China是一节听说课,是一篇有关主人公的采访语录,主人公Leah是一名英国人,她是太极的爱好者,在采访中,Leah分享了自己与太极的故事,其中,有机遇、有挑战、也有收获。
教学过程:

Step I. How do you understand the unit title “on the move” Step II: Watch and answer Watch a video and answer the questions . What sports are mentioned in the video 2. Which sport do you like best Step III . Discussion: What benefits can you get from doing sports physical benefits mental benefits social benefits Step IV. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. What do you know about these exercises Step V. Read and match Read and match the descriptions to the exercises in Activity 4. Step VI. listening 1.Listen to the interview and choose the points mentioned. 2.Listen again and complete the journalist’s notes. Step VII. Speaking Work in Pairs. Act out the interview between a sports journalist and a member of a dragon boat team. The main reason was… The best / worst thing is… My biggest challenge was… What keeps me going is… It’s been a pleasure. Can you tell me something about… Why did you choose… What’s the best / worst thing about… What challenges did you face What makes you keep going What’s your plan… Thank you for sharing your story with us. Watch a video and find some key information according to the questions. After watching, students answer questions. Individuals answer the questions. Look at the pictures and answer the questions. Listen and answer the questions. Act out the interview between a sports journalist and a member of a dragon boat team. To train Students to acquire the ability of obtaining the information by watching the video. To arouse Students’ interest and know the importance of doing sports. To learn to extract required information while listening. Summarize a model to make an interview in daily life;
