2.能在理解课文的基础上,通过阅读理解词汇与表达的含义及运用方法,并在具体的语境中正确使用课文中出现的语言知识。

课时重点:能在一定的提示下(如图片、关键词等),借助重要词汇、句型描述Gulliver的奇遇。
《格列佛游记》中有很多奇遇,请看视频片段,将视频中的奇遇用英语向其他同学描述,并为片段配音。

朗读课文,记忆文章内容
1.复习并朗读课文,边读边记忆文章内容及语言的描述。
2.针对故事情节,回答一些挖掘文本信息或感受作者情感的问题,加深对课文内容的理解和记忆。
3.根据文章的关键词和第2步中回答问题所获得的信息,向同伴简要复述Gulliver的奇遇。
为了加深对文章内容的理解,同时准确、流利地复述文章,在回答问题时,应把答案中的关键词写下来。
根据复述,记录重点短语
1.基于对文章内容的复述,引导出本节课所需要重点学习的语言项目,并记录在笔记本上。如by the time、 be tired out、 be tied to、 look down、 the same size as、 fall over、 continue doing sth. manage to do sth.、 run away等。
2.借助字典或其他教学辅助材料,在课文提供的语境中学习这些新的语言项目。
3.完成课本B3部分的练习并核对答案,以加深巩固课文内容。
练习对话,续写故事
1.在学习完语言项目后,完成课本B4部分的对话练习,掌握与巩固所学。
2.准确理解语言活动任务:“At the end of the story, Gulliver saw a huge army of tiny people coming towards him. What will the tiny people probably do Can Gulliver get away Use your imagination and tell about the following Gulliver’s adventure.”。
3.将故事续写在笔记本上,然后相互交流。

also、 too、as well与either均表示“也”,但有以下区别:
also、 as well、 too用于肯定句,且also常用于be动词、情态动词、助动词之后,行为动词之前;as well和too则用于句末;
either用于否定句句末。例如:
  He went there too.他也去那儿了。
  We didn’t go there either.我们也没有去那儿。
  I like you as well.我也喜欢你。
  You are also a good student.你也是一个好学生。

●I tried to pull one hand free and finally managed to break the ropes. 我试图空出一只手,最后设法解开了绳子。
manage to do sth.意为“设法做某事”,更倾向于做成某事,与succeed in doing sth.同义;而try to do sth.倾向于努力做某事,不确定是否成功。例如:
  I managed to see the writer.我设法见到了那名作家。
