Step 1 Lead-in Broadcast a video about left-behind children and answer the questions on the PPT. Watch the video and answer the questions. What is your feeling about the kids in the video What would it be like to be a volunteer teacher there To help students activate their interests to the topic.
Step 2 Pre-reading Ask students to read the passage quickly and complete the connecting questions on PPT. Divide the passage into several parts and summarize the main idea of each part. Step 3 While-reading Ask students to finish the multiple-choice questions on their exercise book on page 30 and short answer questions on PPT.
