教材分析 This unit aims to introduce and develop students' language skills and knowledge related to the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Moreover, the unit also incorporates cultural elements related to the seasons. This includes introducing festivals and traditions that are associated with particular seasons in different cultures. This aspect not only enhances students' understanding of English language but also broadens their cultural horizons.

导入新课 Step 1: Preview and Review Spelling words in a train-like fashion: We will go around the class, with each student reading out the words "season, spring, summer, autumn, winter" in sequence. Reviewing the dialogue: Teacher (T): Which season do you like best Students (Ss): Winter/…. I like snow./It’s pretty. We will repeatedly practice and consolidate this sentence structure. Different forms of spelling and pronunciation can enhance students' interest in learning and deepen their knowledge consolidation.
讲授新课 Step 2. Presentation of New Content Learn the phrases: "go on a picnic" - "go on a picnic - I often go on a picnic." Repeat the same approach to teach the remaining phrases: "go swimming," "pick apples," "make a snowman." Learn the sentence: T: Which season do you like best Ss: Spring. I often go on a picnic. Repeatedly practice this sentence structure by substituting words or phrases to help students master it. Listen to the tape and read it aloud again. Read in roles. Translate phrases and key sentences between teachers and students. Step 3. Collaborative Communication and Joint Construction between Teachers and Students Ask and Answer: Practice dialogue in pairs. A: Which season do you like best B: Winter. I often play in the snow. Use the phrases in the table to practice substitutions. Students flexibly use phrases and sentence patterns to create sentences I like spring. I can plant flowers. / I like summer. I can go swimming. / ... Step 4. Homework Make a new dialogue by using the phrases. Let students raise questions by themselves, and then let other students answer first. Fully exert the subjective role of students. If students cannot solve the questions, the teacher will provide guidance.
课堂练习 1. Read the talk by themselves and answer. T: Which season do you like best Ss: I like spring best. T: Why Ss: Because the weather is pretty. 2.Listen “let’s try”,Choose the right picture. 3. Act “let’s talk”. 4. Try to write a dialogue.
课堂小结 The group leaders will lead their members to carry out inter-group division of labor, discussion, and exchange, and present their results. After students' evaluation, the teacher will give comments and feedback.
