【教材分析】
本节课是高中英语必修1第一单元Life Choices的第一课Lifestyles，课型是阅读课，介绍了来自不同国家、地区的两名新高中生日常生活方面的内容。通过本节课的学习，让学生学会如何描述高中新生活，如何表达个人感受以及如何用英语表达对未来的期望和目标。
【教学目标】
在本节课结束，学生能够：
语言能力
（1）能够正确运用以下单词和短语addict, drag oneself away, definitely, target, attentive, achieve, revise, a wide range of, it s so convenient to do sth...
2.文化意识
了解英语交际中如何根据对方的话语作出恰当的反应；
3.思维品质
比较评价两者的生活方式，并给出合理性的建议。
4.学习能力
（1）学生能够借助关键词，在理解文章大意的基础上，找出段落主题句，完成读前问题；

（1）如何使用地道的英语介绍自己的生活方式；
（2）细致掌握文章大意和内容
2. 难点
（1）能用得体的英语表达自己的生活方式、个人情感和未来期望；
（2）能够明白任何一个生活方式都有相应的优缺点，需要克服缺点，发扬优点。
