我受邀去华盛顿西部一位老友的农场参加烧烤活动。
我把车停在农场外面，走过一座已经很多年没有用过的挤奶房。
这时，窗户上的一声响动引起了我的注意，我于是走了进去。
原来是一只蜂鸟，它正拼命想要逃出去。
它身上满是蜘蛛网，几乎无法扇动翅膀。
我一把它拿起来，它就停止了挣扎。
我捧着这只鸟，四处查看它是怎么进来的。
破损的玻璃窗是唯一的答案。
我塞了一块布到洞里，然后把它带到外面，并小心地关上了门。
当我摊开手掌时，这只鸟并没有飞走，而是坐在那里，用明亮的眼睛看着我。
我清除了它头部和翅膀上粘着的蜘蛛网。
但它仍然没有试图飞走。
也许它挣扎得太久，已经筋疲力尽了吧？或者太渴了？
我提着它走上一条两旁种满黑莓的小路，朝着我的车走去，车上放着一瓶水。
这时，它开始动弹了。
我停下脚步，它很快就振翅飞了起来，但并没有立刻飞走。
