夏天到了,我爸爸想带我去度一个前所未有的假期。
他决定带我去狂野的西部旅行。
我们坐飞机去了阿尔伯克基,新墨西哥州的一个大城市。
我们在下午晚些时候到达阿尔伯克基。
我爸爸的朋友保罗叔叔从机场接了我们,开车把我们送到他在佩科斯的农场。
他的妻子蒂娜为我们做了一顿美味的晚餐,我们认识了他的儿子莱恩和凯尔。
我和爸爸在农舍的客房里过夜,听着青蛙和河水在附近的河流上翻滚。

过了一会儿,保罗叔叔和他的农舍不见了。

”最后,我们找到了那条河,回到了河边的房子里。
不用说,我们晚饭吃得很晚。

Very early in the morning.

Uncle Paul woke us up to have breakfast.

“The day starts at dawn on my farm,” he said.

After breakfast, I went to help Aunt Tina feed the chickens, while my dad went with Uncle Paul to take the sheep out to graze (吃草).

I was impressed to see my dad and Uncle Paul riding horses.

They looked really cool.

In the afternoon, I asked Uncle Paul if I could take a horse ride, and he said yes, as long as my dad went with me.

So, my dad and I put on our new cowboy hats, got on our horses, and headed slowly towards the mountains.

“Don’t be late for supper,” Uncle Paul cried, “and keep to the track so that you don’t get lost!

After a while Uncle Paul and his farm house were out of sight.

It was so peaceful and quiet and the colors of the brown rocks, the deep green pine trees, and the late afternoon sun mixed to create a magic scene.

It looked like a beautiful woven (编织的) blanket spread out upon the ground just for us.
突然,一只小兔子跳到了我的马前面。
Suddenly a little rabbit jumped out in front of my horse.

Dad and I found it was so cute that we decided to chase it.
过了一会儿,我们在森林里完全迷路了。
After a while, we were completely lost in the forest.

There was nothing left in our sight but the trees.
“我们可能赶不上赶回农舍吃晚饭了。
”
“We may not be able to make it back to the farm house in time for supper.”

I thought to myself.

After a series of fruitless attempts to find a way out, we felt hungry and tired.
我们不知道自己身在何处,天渐渐黑了。
We had no idea where we were and it was getting dark.
我们被困在森林里了。
We got stuck in the forest.
一场意想不到的阵雨给我们找到回家的路增加了难度,因为因为下雨,我们走的所有路都消失了。
And an unexpected shower added to the difficulty of us in finding a way home, for all the tracks we had made disappeared because of the rain.
我几乎要崩溃了,父亲说:“别担心,儿子。
I was almost on the edge of breaking down when my father said, “Don’t worry, my son.
我记得农舍附近有一条河。
I remember there is a river near the farm house.
找到那条河,我们就能回家了。
”
Find the river and we will be back home.”
最后,我们找到了那条河,回到了河边的房子里。
Finally, we found the river and got back to the house along it.
不用说,我们晚饭吃得很晚。
Needless to say, we ate a late dinner.
