A. You probably sit right at the front of the class if you re longing for knowledge. B. Research suggests that the seat you choose in the classroom says a lot about you and your personality. C. Do you sit in the middle of the classroom D. This means it's a good idea to sit in a different place every day. E. People often think that students who sit at the back are lazy. F. Students who sit at the side of the classroom are normally interested in class.
Where you sit and how you fit
____31____ For more than seventy years, researchers and teachers have studied the link between the place where students choose to sit in class and what they are like as people and learners. Where do you usually decide to sit Have you ever really thought about the reasons for your decision
_____32___ But is this really true Well, some researchers say it is not. In fact, shy students often choose the back row because it is far away from the teacher and they don't want to answer questions. At the back, students probably won't speak much, but in big classrooms, it can be hard to see the board and hear what the teacher is saying. This could be the reason why students who sit here often get lower grades on tests and exams. For students with poor eyesight or hearing, a seat at the back of the classroom is not a good choice.
____33____ However, they like watching and listening rather than joining in. These students are usually also very good at taking notes. Next time you miss a class, borrow notes from someone who sits here. On the sides of the classroom you will generally find modest and thoughtful people. These people usually get good grades in school and are interested in learning.
____34____ Then the statistics (统计数据) say you probably like your teacher. You probably also have a good relationship with your classmates. Caring, outgoing, and cheerful people usually sit in the middle. They are normally serious about learning and feel disappointed with low grades on tests and exams.
____35____ Students who sit here usually want to discuss things with the teacher and are often very interested in the subject. They want to be in the best place to see and hear everything the teacher does and says. The only problem with sitting here is that it can be difficult to see and hear what other students do and say in class. So, if you really want to hear what everyone says in class, choose a different place to sit.
31-35. B;E;F;C;A
A. You probably sit right at the front of the class if you re longing for knowledge.

Hopes, ambitions (抱负), dreams. How many
of yours will you achieve When you look back at your life in the future, will
you have good memories of all his things that you did Or will you regret all
the things that you didn't do
Of course, there's no easy road to success,
but one thing is certain: success won't come if you don't do anything. So how
do you do it This four-step model will help you to make your dreams come true.
Step
1:
What
would you like to do Write down all your ambitions. They may be very general,
such as I would like to be fitter. I want to be famous, or It would be nice to have more friends.
Or they may be more specific, like I've always wanted to play a musical
instrument.
Step
2:
Now
you need to do two things:
⒈ Choose one or two
ambitions. If you try to do everything, you won't do anything.
⒉ Set a time limit (限定). This is very important, because you will have a goal and you will
also know when you have reached it.
So,
for example, I would like to be fitter
in Step 1 now becomes I will be fit
enough to join a half-marathon race by the end of August.
Step
3:
Now
that you've made your choice, what are you actually going to do to achieve your
goal So, in our example, I will be fit
enough to join a half-marathon race by the end of August, becomes I'm going to
join a running club, or I'm going to go jogging three times a week.
Step 4:

This
is when you change your intentions (意图) into specific actions. Prepare to do something at a specific time.
If you don't do this, your dreams and plans will just stay as dreams and plans.
So now I'm going to join a running club,
becomes I'm meting the president of the Cheetahs Running Club on Monday evening
at 5∶30.
Don't
let your ambitions die. Follow this four-step plan and make your dream come
true.
A. Change I would like to…to I will.… B. Change I did.…to I do… C. How to be successful D. Change I'm going to…to I'm doing… on… at… E. Think about your
ambitions F. Change I will.…to I'm going to. . .
【答案】C;E;A;F;D
A. Change I would like to…to I will.…
B. Change I did.…to I do…
C. How to be successful
D. Change I'm going to…to I'm doing… on… at…
E. Think about your ambitions
F. Change I will.…to I'm going to…
根据文章结构和第二段第一句及最后一句,there's no easy road to success. This four-step model will help you to make your dream come true,可知成功没有容易的,这四步会帮助你实现你的梦想。
Write down all your ambitions.
I would like to be fitter, in Stepl now becomes I will be fit enough to join a half marathon race by the end of August. 故选A。
I will be fit enough to join a half marathon race by the end of August, becomes I'm going to join a running club, or I'm going to go jogging three times a week,故选F。
I'm going to join a running club, becomes I'm meeting the president of the Cheetahs Running Club on Monday evening at 5:30.

How to Get Children to Stop Touching Their Faces
Kids seem like they're always touching everything in their environment, from tables and chairs to doors and stairs. Since those surfaces may hold germs(细菌), you can help your child avoid illness by encouraging them not to touch their face throughout the day.
_____41_____ Once your child is about 3 years old, you can begin having conversations with them and avoiding germs, including the importance of washing their hands and how touching their face can spread germs to their nose and mouth. While just knowing this information probably won't help them break the habit, it can help set the groundwork.
_____42_____ If you don't want to criticize(批评)your child when they forget, it is important to remind them when you see them with their hands around their face or mouth. Sometimes, just knowing that they're doing it will be enough to help them stop doing it.
_____43_____ It can be hard to remember sometimes, but look for chances to let your child know when they're doing a good job of keeping their hands away from their face. Encouraging words can be a really powerful motivation(动机)for kids to keep trying when they're learning something new.
_____44_____ Children often touch their faces or mouths without thinking about it. Many times, it's just because they're bored and they're looking for a way to excite themselves. If you think that might be the case, try giving your child a toy they can hold onto.
The passage is most probably chosen from the part of _____45_____in a newspaper.
A.Point out any time you see your child touching their face.
B.Health
C.Offer your child something they can hold.
D.Explain why it' important if your child is old enough.
E.Praise your child when they aren't touching their face.
F.Encourage your child to wash their face carefully.
G.Sports
【答案】41.D 42.A 43.E 44.C 45.B
41.本段第一句话就提到“have conversations with them and avoiding germs, including the importance of washing their hands and how touching their face can spread germs to their nose and mouth.”
42.本段第一句提到“it is important to remind them when you see them with their hands around their face or mouth.”,由此可知,这一段强调提醒孩子们的重要性。故选A。
43.根据这一段中“Encouraging words can be a really powerful motivation(动机)for kids to keep trying when they're learning something new.”
44.本段关键是最后句“If you think that might be the case, try giving you child a toy they can hold onto”,可以给孩子玩具让他们拿着。

So, if you really want to hear what everyone says in class, choose a different place to sit.

the things that you didn't do

is when you change your intentions (意图) into specific actions.
Follow this four-step plan and make your dream come
true.

ambitions F. Change I will.…to I'm going to. . .
