教学内容分析
What: 本课是本单元第一课 Teachers,属于“人际关系”中的“师生关系”主题,包含两文章。从一生一师的两个角度记述了对彼此的印象和感想。第一篇从学生 Graham的视角,回忆自已在遇见老师 Mr Jenkins之前懒散a bit lazy、厌学boring, didn’t really want to know、不自信lack confidence的状态,以及 Mr Jenkins如何用生动有趣的课堂interesting和信任鼓励的教学方式let me pour, ask me to give a presentation, made me feel发了他对科学的热爱interested,从而改变自己的故事。表达了 Graham对老师的感激之情often think about, if only I could call。第二篇从老师 Mr Jenkins的角度,回忆其对学生 Graham的印象和与其相处的点滴difficult, bad behaviour, bright,阐明了自己的教育理念no such thing as, everyone is good at something, make friends with, understand them, have access to…。 Why: 作者希望学生通过阅读这两篇文章,从 Graham前后的巨大变化,体会到教师对学生的重大影响,认识到教育方法对学生的重要性(外因)。同时,学生也能从 Graham的身上体会到兴趣及自身努力对于学习和成功的重要性(内因)。 How: 本课文本是两篇记叙文。第一篇叙述者是学生 Graham,主要由三部分组成:1.回忆自己在见老师 Mr Jenkins之前的状态;2.回忆 Mr Jenkins的教学方法和对自己的信任与鼓励;3. 表明自己在教师的帮助下重获自信,投身科学,并且走向成功。第二篇叙述者是教师 Mr Jenkins,主要由两部分组成1.回忆对学生 Graham的印象;2.说明自己的教育念。 作者在行文上采用了对比的手法展现了 Graham在遇到 Mr Jenkins前后的巨大变化。在 Mr Jenkins的教育和帮助下, Graham不仅对学习产生了兴趣,开始取得了良好的成绩,并最终走向了与科学相关的工作岗位,改变了人生轨迹。在对比过程中恰当地运用了过去式和过去完成时,例如 Before Mr Jenkins taught me,science had simply been a subject…与 Graham was very difficult before he came into my class. I had heard stories…If 引出的虚拟和条件句也更真实的体现了叙述者的真实情感。如:if only I could call him, if what I do as a teacher… 另外,两篇都配以说明性的图片,并以第一人称进行叙述,语言真实可信,让学生有很强的带入感。第一篇以学生视角进行的叙述,语言相对熟悉,简单,对学生更具亲和力;而第二篇以教师视角进行的叙述,尤其是谈到教育理念时,语言略难,会对学生理解造成一定障碍。
学情分析
基本情况: 学生为高二平行班的学生,英语学习热情较高,具备一定的英语学习能力,但是基础较弱。通过高一一年的学习,学生已基本具备在阅读中获取细节信息的能力,少部分学生能用英语自信的表达观点。但多数学生在理解整合知识、逻辑推理和分析论证观点及批判评价方面的能力都比较欠缺。 认知特点: 高二学生正处在身心发展的关键时期,自我意识逐步增强,对事物有自己的看法,但是还很不够成熟。在树立正确的人生观、价值观的关键时期,要逐步培养学生积极向上的正确意识。 已有知识: 学生在初中已接触过类似话题。语言相对熟悉。而且通过前一个topic talk的学习,对描写人生中重要的人的品质类词汇已有所了解,并能简述所发生的难忘经历。为评价最喜欢的教师的品质及叙述老师与自己的难忘经历提供了一定的语言支撑。但对于师生关系对个人人生影响的认识并不深入。
