教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up A task for you: Give a task (help the new classmates to know more about your class) to open the class. And show the learning steps. 设计意图: 创设语境,明确学习目标, 清楚学习步骤。 Step 2 Review the vocabulary A guessing game: Guess the word in this unit according to the descriptions. to review key words and expressions about class life in this unit. And apply them in the context. Practice: Do the exercises of Building Your Vocabulary on Page 14.and check the answers. 设计意图:通过猜词游戏复习主要词汇, 借助英文解释在语境中更好的掌握英语词汇,总结并按照本单元的设计的语言点分类归纳。 Step 3 Grammar Review the four simple sentence patterns: Review the simple sentence with two questions. (How to build a simple sentence and how many types of sentence structures ) A simple sentence :expresses a complete thought and has one subject and one verb, Vi. (Intransitive verbs) Subject Verbs 2.Vt. (transitive verbs) 3. Lining v. (linking verbs)
According to the different kinds of verbs, we have different types of sentence patterns.
Practice
Do the exercise of Grammar in Use on P14 (Making sentences) and tell the different parts of each sentence.
Present the fifth sentence pattern.

Make a short story on your worksheet An example:
It rained. A man didn’t have an umbrella. Nobody gave him a raincoat or a hat The rain made him totally wet. But not a single hair was wet.
Make your own story according to the writing standards: 1.You must have the five sentence patterns.
2.Your story should be as short as you can. 3.The content should be creative and attractive.

Step 4 Listening and speaking
Present some listening skills before listening.
Read the questions and predict the answers before listening, read for detail information.
Listen to the passage and answer the questions.
What kind of person is Da Zhi (adjectives )
What did they play in P.E. class (activities)
What happened in P.E. class (who did what) Answers:
He is kind and helpful.
They played football in P.E. class.
In P.E. class, Liu Wei fell and hurt his knee. Da Zhi helped him up and took him to the hospital.
While listening skills: You needn't to write the whole answers while listening. You can just write key words instead of sentences. And write letters short for words. Then complete your answers after listening.

Present two ways of sounds linking.
1.Sounds Linking is a way of joining the pronunciation of two words so that they are easy to say and flow together smoothly. Here are two ways:
vowel to vowel linking we are – we+y+are; grow up-grow+w+ up
Consonant to vowel linking Can I have a bit of egg -- ca-ni-ha-va-bi-to-fegg ;
