一、整体设计思路
本模块由Unit 1 London is a big city.和Unit 2 It's very old.两个单元组成，介绍怎样描述一座城市或一处景物.本模块向我们介绍了伦敦是英国的首都、世界著名的大城市，是英国的金融、文化、艺术和教育中心，泰晤士河穿越而过。伦敦历史悠久，名胜古迹众多，拥有许多著名的建筑物和旅游景点，其中包括伦敦桥、伦敦塔、塔桥、大本钟、白金汉宫、海德公园等。歌曲London Bridge is falling down.是一首传统的英国歌曲，让我们感觉一下歌曲的旋律和内容，并边唱边做游戏。
二、教学背景分析
教学内容分析：本课是新标准英语三年级起点四年级下册第2模块第一单元。本模块的话题是人与社会，主题是London，本课的语言功能是运用形容词描述英国著名的景点白金汉宫和玲玲的家。本课时的课文语境是Amy和Lingling一起翻看一本介绍伦敦的书，在翻看过程中，Lingling发现伦敦很大，并注意到一座很漂亮的房子，于是询问Amy这是什么地方，Amy介绍说这是白金汉宫。Lingling以为Amy住在那里，Amy告诉她，女王住在那里，而自己家则在不远处的一栋小房子里，之后，Amy向Lingling展示自己家的照片。 学生情况分析： 四年级的学生有了一年的英语学习积累，已经初步掌握了一些生活中常见动物和物品的名词词汇和日常数字的表达法，已经具备初步的听、说、认读等语言功能。学生对进行时的学习已具备了一定的基础，能够正确地运用进行时的句型来进行问答交流。在本模块学习中，重点通过听说读写等活动掌握London is a big city.My house is very small,but it’s beautiful.It’s very old.句型，以及相关的功能单词。四年级的学生比较活泼好动，表现欲较强，模仿的能力也很强，喜欢游戏和活动。因此在教学思路上充分利用文本图片，从孩子的好奇心和兴趣入手设计教学活动。通过创设贴近生活的情景，引导学生在较为真实的语言环境中学习目标语言。

语言知识 (1) 学生能理解：city,ship,beautiful,whose,close,old,queen, famous。 (2)学生能运用：city,ship,beautiful,whose,close,queen. (3)学生能感知介绍某地的语句的语音语调特征。
语言技能 (1)学生能听懂并说出：London is a big city. My house is very small, but it’s beautiful. (2)学生能朗读课文，注意模仿语音语调，并能按要求完成语句书写。 (3)学生能运用所学语言描述某个地方。
情感态度 通过本模块的学习，学生能乐于接触外国文化，增强祖国意识。
学习策略 通过在伦敦著名景点名称与图片之间建立联想，进一步尝试在词语与相应事物之间建立联系。
文化意识 通过对伦敦景点的了解，初步了解英国文化。

教学重点： 理解并运用句型London is a big city. My house is very small, but it’s beautiful . (2) 能听懂、认读city,ship,beautiful,whose,close,queen等单词及词组。 (3)能运用所学语言介绍某个地方。 教学难点： (1) 运用所学语言准确流畅地介绍某个地方。 (2) 准确发音Buckingham Palace/queen这两个单词。 (3)引导学生尝试复述课文。
