I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal(严峻考验)of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.
You ask, what is our aim I can answer in one word, it is victory. Victory at all costs—victory in spite of all terrors—victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival.

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up, live up to the true meaning of its creed信条: “We hold these truths to be self-evident不言而喻; that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves奴隶 and the sons of former slave-owners奴隶主 will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood兄弟情谊.
I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color if their skin but by the content of their character品格.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew砍 out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform(转变) the jangling(叮当声) discords(不合) of our nation into a beautiful symphony(交响乐) of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

Have you ever experienced the ups and downs of life and felt frustrated or discouraged Two years ago, when I entered the new school, I felt lost and depressed. It’s like I had been taken out of my natural environment, and put somewhere new. And slowly I began to lose myself, like I was being washed away. But then one day, I heard over our school radio broadcast a song called “Count on me”---soft and calming, comforting and powerful. It gave me strength and hope, like my old friend. It gave me company and comfort. And also it gave me courage to face all the difficulties. Gradually, I adapted to the new school. The philosopher Plato once said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” I do benefit a lot from music.
