Last year I went to an island with my friends on vacation. It was my first visit to the island! I left home early in the morning. We met and got on the ship at about 7:00. It took us eight hours to go there.
When we got there, I was surprised at the weather there. It was already October, but we just needed to wear T-shirts and shorts. We went to the beach to enjoy the sunshine and some of my friends even went swimming in the sea. The scenery (风景) was beautiful. Amy was looking for a gift for her little daughter. Suddenly she stopped before a store of dolls. “Girls like dolls,” she thought as she stepped into it. Looking around, she saw a grandma doll——one with gray hair and a pair of glasses. In her mind appeared Joyce, her mother.
