教材分析 Order food together with a foreign friend 主题语境:人与社会 主题群:历史,社会与文化子主题:饮食与文化 语篇类型:听力、对话、图片文本分析: [What]本节课为听说课,内容是向外国朋友介绍国菜并和外国朋友点菜。文本首先设置看图预测,学习些中国菜的英文名字,接着听一段对话,获取湖南菜和川菜的区别,推荐剁椒鱼头、过桥豆腐的原因;最后角色演请外国朋友吃饭,推荐菜品并点菜,内化语言知识,深对主题的理解。 [Why]向外国朋友介绍中国食物和文化,增强学生日祖国意识和跨文化交际能力,增强文化自信。 [How]将英语语用目标和本单元的主题语境结合来,设置听说活动,让学生在主题语境的探索中提高英运用能力,深入对主题的探究。
学情分析 在本节课中,学生已经相对熟悉了本单元的美食话题,教师要带领学生克服羞怯,专心听力训练,自信勇敢表达。在听力训练环节中,先看图预测,再听对话获取信息,在表达环节,进行角色扮演给外国朋友推荐具有中国特色的菜肴。
教学目标 1.获取听力中不同菜的特点及推荐的理由, 2.使用恰当的语言向外国友人介绍中国饮食文化,述中国不同菜系的特点。 3.培养学生利用图片和文本预测听力内容的策略能力。
教学重难点 1.获取听力中不同菜的特点及推荐的理由。 2.培养学生利用图片和文本预测听力内容的策略和能力难点: 向外国友人介绍中国饮食文化,在真实的情境中提高言运用能力。

教学活动设计
Before the listening 1.Match the dishes below to their English names. steamed fish head covered with chillies hand-torn cabbage dry pot duck with golden buns bridge tofu While the listening Listening tips Preview Listening is often combined with some sort of picture or text. If you preview the picture or text before you listen, it will help you better understand what you hear. 2 In groups, discuss the menu below. 1.What kind of restaurant is it and what kinds of food are served 2. Which dishes would you recommend to a foreigner Why Task1 Tingting,Anna,and Lisa are at the Hunan Restaurant. Listen to their conversation and tick the dishes that they order in the menu above. Task2 Listen again and answer the questions. 1 How is Hunan cuisine somewhat different from Sichuan cuisine 2 What are the reasons why Hunan people like spicy food 3 Why do so many people love steamed fish head covered with chillies 4 Why does Tingting recommend bridge tofu instead of dry pot duck with golden buns 5 Why is red braised pork the most famous dish After the listening In groups of three, discuss what types of restaurant you would like to take a foreign visitor to, and why. Then take turns role-playing taking your foreign guest to the restaurant you have chosen. One of you should act as the foreign guest, one as the Chinese host, and one as the waiter or waitress. You may start like this: Example A:I really love spicy food,so what dish would you recommend B:I suggest Mapo tufu. A:Really What ‘s that ... B:Waiter!
