Unlike the conventional ones, many new machines are now self-driving. One of the distinctive characteristics is that they can use cameras and positioning system to see where they are and where they are going. In some countries, people use these machines to tackle the crisis of labour shortage.The use of these machine also helps to expand the output more easily than before. In other countries agricultural robots have become a reality, which are used to harvest fruits or grains, plant rice and spray pesticides. Although the field of agricultural robotics is still in its infancy, people are convinced that farmers of the future are more likely to be technicians working in control rooms rather than those ploughing in fields. 2.劳动实践，预习新知 What kind of farming do you see Chemical farming or organic farming We may see both chemical farming and organic farming as they are very common. What do you know about these farming methods Just as its name implies, in chemical farming, chemicals such as chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers are often used.Organic farming is simply farming without using any artificial chemicals. What do you think of these farming methods Using chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers is a great way to fight crop disease and increase production. But the long-term use can harm both the land and people’s health. As for organic farming, farmers can grow good food while avoiding damage to the environment or people’s health. However, organic farming fails to serve the high demand for food around the world.
