Step1. Warming-up & revision
Greetings: Daily talking.
Sing a song: Where is the hospital?
Where is the hospital? Is it near the park?...
3. Play a game: What’s missing?
Step2. Presentation & Practice
1. Teaching the words: Show pictures of Pizza. Introduce it: It’s a kind of Italian food and it’s very popular around the world now.
2. Write down “pizza”, lead the Ss to read in different ways.
3. Show some pictures to teach “street”. Use the same way to learn it.
4. Let’s try: Let the Ss look at Let’s try carefully, then listen and tick or cross. Teacher checks the answers together with the Ss.
Let’s talk:
1) Watch the video of Let’s talk and answer the questions below:
a. Does Mike like pizza?
b. Where is the restaurant?
c. How can they get there?
2) Let the Ss answer the questions. Then check the answers together.
3) Teacher explains the meaning of “turn right”, “turn left”, “crossing” and writes them down. Lead the Ss to read them some times.
3) Listen and follow the tape to read the dialogue.
4) Have a role-play in pairs or groups.
Step3 Consolidation&Extension
Let the students ask and answer, using the places around us., e.g.:
How can I get to the library / cinema…?
Turn left / right at the …
2. Do some exercises.
Step 4. Summary
Sum up the new lesson.
Homework
Listen to the tape. Copy the sentences 2+1.
Make a short new dialogue with your partners.

Step1. Warming-up & revision
Greetings: Daily talking.
Sing a song: Where is the hospital?
Listen to the orders and do the right actions to review “left” and “right”.
Show a picture of our city. Ask and answer with each other:
T: Is there a cinema? S: Yes, there is.
T: Where is the cinema? S: It’s next to the hospital.
T: How can I get to the hospital? S: Turn right at the bookstore. Then turn left at the post office…
Step2. Presentation & Practice
1. Listen to the video: the dancing rabbit. Do the actions of “turn left” and “turn right”.
2. Show the right hand to present right. Show the left hand to present left. Then lead the Ss to read some times.
3. Write a straight line on the board to present the word: straight. Lead them to read. Then go straight in the classroom and say: I go straight.
4. Show a picture of a crossing road to teach “crossing”.
5. Show the picture of Let’s learn. Listen to the tape and try to understand it.
Step3 Consolidation&Extension
Listen and do: Ss listen to the orders and do the actions: turn left, turn right, go straight, crossing…
Play a game: Put a flag.
Select a student and muffle up his eyes. Let him listen to the direction. Then find the place and put a flag on the desk.
3. Be a tour guide: Show the picture of this part. Introduce the situation and then let them in pairs to practice this activity.
4. Game: I am a policeman.
Let the Ss play as a policeman or a policewoman. Help the old to find places.
Step 4. Summary
Sum up the new lesson.
Homework
Listen to the tape. Copy the words 5.
Tell your family or friends how to get to some public places.

歌曲导入。Where is the hospital ? Step2.Pre-reading
看一看,说一说
教师呈现本部分的四副插图,提问:Do you know these things ? What are they for ?学生讨论后,教师领读单词。
请学生根据自己已有的知识,将四幅图按照使用年代的远近排序。2、教师引导学生看图,引导学生进行读前预测。教师介绍:Wu Yifan and his friends wanted to go to the Italian restaurant, How did they go there ? What places did they pass by ?
Step3.In-reading
第一次阅读
要求学生快速阅读,用横线画出经过的地点。
第二次阅读
要求学生细读课文,完成第九页的读写题。
第三次阅读
教师利用给课件展示课文,播放录音。学生跟读,模仿正确的语音、语调。
Step4.Post-reading
学生再次阅读课文,画出文中出现的介词。
学生四人一组,根据课文信息,制作吴一凡去餐馆的线路图。比比那组的图文漂亮、准确。
师生完成Tips for pronunciation 板块的练习。
教师播放Listen ,look and say 的录音,并解释英语句子有不同的声调:一般情况下,肯定句,特殊疑问句用降调,一般疑问句用升调,并引出祈使句在这里是礼貌请求,语气要婉转,用升调。
教师提供一些例句,组织学生读句子并判断应该读什么语调。
教师在提供一些句子,让学生根据语调归类,并说出理由。
